It would have been nice if the owners had been more welcoming. No effort was made to check if all was okay or if we had any questions. It was advertised as having WiFi but none was visible and no password anywhere. We searched drawers etc but no password. We were stuck in by flooding which came close. A word of reassurance would have been nice from owners who were only next door. Being stuck we both went over our monthly data allowance which my husband got very cross about and wasted a lot of time. We had to go to the pub for WiFi to keep in touch with a family member who is very unwell. The Bothy itself was lovely ,very quaint and cosy once we worked out how to operate the radiators! The White Horse pub was only option for eating out at night but was great. Host and locals very welcoming! Food was great and enough variety for us to dine out for 4 nights. The Postcard Cafe just over the bridge was superb. The owner has filled it with interesting decor...unique warm, friendly, delicious food for breakfast or Lunch or afternoon tea. The owner of cafe luckily suggested we move our car further up hill from the carpark your App suggested. It would have been swept away otherwise. Lovely little craft shop up the side street was a gem to find. Convenient for visiting Shrewsbury, Ludlow Hereford and for many walks around the area. The bothy was well stocked with local guide books.

We love the quaint character of the cottage. The bed is comfortable, I love the bath, but I’m only 5ft 2 inches so fit in there nicely. Not as easy for bigger people but where else do you see an old, very thick wooden beam hanging over a bath? So much character. Very central and convenient for the 2 village pubs and the local convenience store and a lovely gift shop. The staircase is quite steep and a little narrow but really well lit with hand holds both sides. We’ll be back.

Comfortable, compact accommodation. Characterful decor. Excellent location near the high street with pubs, a shop and museum. Also excellent location for country walks in the lovely Shropshire countryside. We were disappointed there were no logs available at the accommodation for the woodturner and had to buy and carry them from the local shop. Also had to spend some time working out how to make the heating work, which luckily we did. Could do with more information in the house to explain how things worked, rubbish disposal/recycling etc. We would recommend Clun as a lovely place to visit for a peaceful break.
