Please note: There are steps and a small pond in the garden. Due to the age of the property there is a small steep open sided staircase and care must be taken when using, a hand rail will help guests to use the stairs.. The Old Toll House is a traditional, detached, country holiday cottage in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge and is ideally placed to explore this world-famous Heritage Site. It sits less than 110 yards from the River Severn and is a short walk from the popular Coalport China Museum, or only a 5-minute drive away from Ironbridge.
This detached holiday cottage benefits from close proximity to a variety of great pubs and restaurants. People who enjoy the outdoor life are spoilt for choice; there is a National Cycle Route 55 yards from the property and cycle hire is available in the close by village of Jackfield. For the more adventurous, canoe hire is available in Ironbridge. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

The property itself was lovely - everything that you could need and in an excellent location. Check-in was convenient. However unfortunately the bedding smelt horribly damp, which made for a very unpleasant first night of our stay. It was necessary for me to wash all of the bedding the next day, which wasn’t ideal when I was supposed to be relaxing on holiday. The towels smelt stale and of smoke. The whole property needed a thorough air on arrival, and the carpets could do with a good shampoo - the smell of damp dog was overwhelming. Unfortunately these issues would prevent us from staying at The Old Toll House again.

The place is quite nice and the neighbourhood is lovely its a drive away from all hiking destination and the town centre. There are games like monopoly and books already in the house.
