The cottage is beautifully situated with loch views, close to the Isle of Skye, and is easy to find, making it an ideal spot for exploring the local area.
The cottage is described as a home away from home, with a cosy fireplace that adds warmth and comfort. However, a mention of the lack of central heating suggests room for improvement.
The property is well-equipped, but there are mentions of minor issues with the kitchen and bathroom facilities, and a problem with the cooker hob. The lack of kerbside recycling is also noted.

We stayed here for a week while exploring the Highlands and looking for wildlife, and the location could not have been better. The scenery all around the cottage is absolutely stunning, with mountains, woodland and water views right on the doorstep. It was peaceful, quiet and exactly the kind of place you go to if you want to switch off from busy life for a while. The cottage itself is in a great spot, only around 20 minutes from the Skye Bridge, which made it perfect for exploring the Isle of Skye as well as the surrounding Highlands. We also loved just staying local and enjoying the views and wildlife around the property. When we first arrived the house felt quite cold, but once we got the log fire going it completely warmed the place up and made it feel really cosy and relaxing, especially in the evenings after being out all day. Sitting by the fire looking out at the scenery was one of the highlights of the stay.If you are looking for somewhere peaceful, scenic and well placed for exploring the Highlands and Skye, this is a lovely base to stay from and lovely friendly neighbours. David and Jane took us out for a ride one day to show us where Jane grew up and he was very kniwledgeable of the surrounding area. We thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with them. Even a visit to the ferry over to Skye and the cafe.

We stayed at Tigh-An-Achaidh for a week and got instructions on how to get there and where the keys were. During the week we drove our car to the isle of Skye and other surrounding places to enjoy walks through the beautiful Scottish landscape. The cottage had everything we needed, even a washingmachine which we used twice. We were especially fond of the toaster, fresh toast every morning. There were three of us but there was room for far more people. The cottage is creeking here and there, and the floors could use some alligning but it has a lovely atmosphere. The bathroom is a bit primitive yet perfectly functional. Kitchen is big and has everything you need to cook a good meal. The beds were perfectly fine, everybody had vivid dreams and was well rested in the mornings. In the evenings it would get cold, but with the heating element it would be warm in no time. Don't expect 5 star hotel, but a cozy place to come back to after being outdoors all day. Overall, we truely enjoyed our stay and would book again if visiting the region.

The cottage was great. The woodburner made it a home from home. Without the woodburner this Cottage could be cold but the plentiful wood store makes it fine. Highly recommend 👌
