This spacious detached holiday cottage lies 300 yards from a sandy beach in a peaceful village location, with uninterrupted views over the open sea and the Isle of Arran. An ideal family base, the property features table tennis in the garage. Maidens is a small village situated around the shores of Maidenhead Bay on this picturesque Clyde Coast. The village offers a range of amenities including a local shop, post office, very popular restaurant, hotel and harbour. This corner of south west Ayrshire is renowned for its unspoilt scenery and particularly mild climate throughout the year. The area is the perfect spot for the outdoor enthusiast. There are excellent golf courses, including the world famous Turnberry which is only a mile from Maidens, along with many other 18-hole golf courses nearby. There are the usual field sports, excellent river for fishing and superb routes for walking. Ayrshire offers a varying coastline with villages, beaches and rocky coves to explore. Inland there is walking with gardens and castles to visit, riding, racing and a choice of golf courses. Culzean Castle is spectacular and is Ayrshires most popular tourist attraction. Day trips to Ireland can be taken from Stranraer, whilst a drive north leads to Ayr (14 miles), a traditional seaside town. Shops and pub ½ mile, restaurant 300 yards.
