The cottage has a very homely feel to it. The owners are so helpful and are on hand if you need anything but they also give you your space and privacy at the same time. I stayed in January and I was never cold. The kitchen has everything you need including a freezer and tumble drier which aren't always available in holiday homes. It's lovely and quiet because it's so rural. Wifi was very good, plenty of hot water for showering and the local pub is only a few doors down which does an amazing Sunday dinner. There is no noise from the pub at night either. Very reasonably priced and have booked again for later in the year.

Lovely, spacious, warm cottage with a really relaxing feel about it. Bed was very comfy, good shower. Pretty much everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners were lovely and very helpful, with a lot of knowledge about the interesting history of the cottage. Lovely pub (The Black Lion) about 30 seconds away, would recommend booking early, the food is really good. Nice forest walks very close by, ideal for dogs or mountain biking. Would recommend, we are considering a revisit!

Just had a lovely few days at The Old Forge. Mike and Dawn the hosts were very welcoming and we had everything we needed. The property has real character and was completed once we had the real fire going, very warm and cosy. A great place for walking through the forest which starts 50m away and also for visiting nearby towns of Llandeilo and Carmarthen. Nice quiet getaway, thank you.
