  My husband, dog and I loved staying here - it was so peaceful, a real getaway in a beautiful setting.

  We loved the converted barn, firstly it was bigger than what you’d expect from the photos which is a first. It was extremely clean, comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. The welcome gift of Welsh cakes, tea, coffee, butter and milk was lovely. The layout was great - the amazing views of the countryside can be seen from sitting having breakfast at the table, on the sofa watching the Euros or sitting up in bed. We loved watching the resident ducks, chickens and goose in their daily routines particularly the ducks and goose following each other down to the pond every morning for a swim. We kept our dog on a long lead which he was happy with as the one time we let him off he moved closer to where the sheep were in the field below the barn and barked which scared them - he was promptly put back on the lead. We had trips out to Cardigan, Poppit Sands and Cenarth Falls - ensure you have £3 in cash for parking at Cenarth Falls as it’s worth it for a short walk along the river and also the gift shop is really lovely as is the owner who was very chatty and friendly. We went to Poppit Sands on a Monday when it was almost deserted. It is beautiful - well worth a trip. As we were on a relaxing holiday we didn’t want to go any further than half an hour away so didn’t explore Pembroke which was a bit further afield. We spent several days at the cottage reading and soaking up the peaceful atmosphere. We bought all our supplies from Tesco in Cardigan and we have an EV so we paid the extra to charge it at the cottage which was very handy. Regarding earlier reviews, the owners are great and are on hand if you need them but leave you to your own devices. And also some previous reviews mentioned the track to the cottage - it is fine, just take it slow and no problem - the sensors go off due to folliage. Driving to the property there are single track roads through the village which are on an incline - again, take it slow and you’ll be fine like we were. It was our first holiday to Wales and we will definitely be back.

  If you are looking for a complete escape, then Blaenffynnon Bach is the place for you - quiet, remote but with every comfort of home.

  The cottage has been beautifully and sympathetically converted with plenty of room for a couple, well equipped with lots of storage. Bob and Rowena were lovely hosts - on hand if we had needed them but not intrusive in any way. They left us a lovely welcome basket of a small supply of tea and coffee, eggs and homemade Welsh cakes (the best we had!) and fresh milk and butter in the fridge. They also had a great selection of information about the area, various leaflets and a really handy AA map marked up with the barn's location in relation to various towns and places to visit - all very helpful indeed. Strong wi-fi signal in the property which was wonderful because as you can imagine in the Welsh hills and valleys, mobile reception isn't great! I wouldn't hesitate to revisit Blaenffynnon Bach!   I booked the cottage to surprise my kids for Christmas and what a surprise it was.

  Where to start, the grounds and location was amazing your not too far from town but it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. The facilities were clean and in good condition the addition of the washing machine was a good surprise. The cottage was very nicely set up and instantly felt like home with everything you could need including Netflix and prim. The games room went down really well and we spent our evenings making good memories. The hosts went above and beyond in help making it a wonderful Christmas. On hearing my plan Josie helped decorated the cottage making it feel like Christmas and the added treats and eye for detail was the icing on the cake. Even our doberman loved playing in the secure paddock. We will definitely be booking again. Thank you for an amazing stay.

  We have just returned from a 4 night stay and we wish we could have stayed longer.

  The property was absolutely amazing. The photos really dont do this place justice. It is spacious and has everything you need provided (even hair straighteners!). My 2 boys (aged 13 and 6) are used to staying at places that have fairgrounds or arcades on site, so I was expecting them to be bored, but they absolutely loved it. My youngest enjoyed our morning hot drinks in the garden watching the sheep chase the crows. We will definitely be returning and have already shared the property with family members.   The "Bach" (converted barn) was perfect for our needs.

  Plenty of space - all the equipment you could want - the bathroom had a great shower! Location was really peaceful and the view out of the french windows was wonderful! Bob & Rowena were very helpful and supplied a "welcome pack" ! The area has plenty of places of interest to visit and the single track roads give some marvelous views of the countryside and because we went in June were very quiet - just be aware there were plenty of tractors about whilst we were there so you don't rush anywhere! Thoroughly recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxed & comfortable place to stay!
