We had a lovely stay and found the facilities to be amazing — the property truly has everything you need. However, there were a couple of things that did affect our experience.The first was the hot tub. Although we were looking forward to using it, the ongoing building work next door made the walk up feel less private, and the noise of construction all weekend was disappointing. One of the reasons we booked was because the reviews described the place as peaceful and relaxing, so we were gutted that this wasn’t the case, especially as we’d come away to escape the usual busyness of life.The main let-down, though, was the cleanliness. There was a noticeable amount of dust and cobwebs throughout the property, which may be related to the building work, but it did feel as though the accommodation hadn’t been thoroughly cleaned for some time. We also found flies on the windowsill, as well as dirty cups, utensils, plates, and glasses, along with unclean cupboards. When we went to cook, the oven trays still had leftover food on them, and the oven and oven glass could really benefit from a deep clean. While we understand that it’s a self-catering property, these areas should still be checked before new guests arrive. The window blinds were also quite dusty and could easily be wiped down. Regardless of how great the facilities are, the lack of cleanliness did impact our stay. We would rather have fewer amenities and a spotless space. The property itself is beautiful — it just needs a thorough deep clean, especially in the kitchen.A few small improvements would also make a big difference: adding paving stones leading up to the hot tub to avoid muddy shoes, installing some solar lights along the path for better visibility at night, and providing hand soap at the sink. Extra hand towel and food waste bin bags would be helpful. We left our washing-up liquid and new sponges for the next guests.Overall, it’s a lovely place with great potential, and we hope this feedback is helpful. We hope to stay again if improvements on cleanliness are made.

The cottage was nicely done.The TV did not work and was not mended during the stay.The garden was not dog friendly and very muddy..The high level housework had not been done in a while cobwebs and spiders.
