Cwtch Cottage - Overall - Very Dirty- Tired and in dire need of an update. Photos sent to Ho-season. Furniture- Drastic need for replacement of furniture items such as uncomfortable beds and clearly broken in poor state, Sofas, filthy and clearly aged, Kitchen counter tops/ doors damaged with paint flakes all about ( clear attempt at a poor repair) Dining table and chairs about to fall apart! and overall updating very much needed throughout. Carpets numerous stains.. Photos, tell a very different picture of the cottage. Heating - Unable to control any of the heating as the boiler seems to be LOCKED in a bedroom cupboard screwed down. ( i`d like to know why) as we stayed in march and it got very cold! Thankfully the log fire proved very useful and did have 1 complimentary bag of logs on arrival. (you`d need more to heat during colder months)Communication- Poor- No arrival brief with any emergency contacts etc.. god knows what to do if something happens! You can't just assume that the point of contact would be the neighbouring cottage. You need to seriously look at improving your whole customer experience and information. Location- Yes its very rural and you do have to navigate some very very narrow lanes ( so drive very carefully) but if you want a peaceful location that that does not disappoint. Overall - we had expectations of cleanliness and proper access to heating control at the very least. Not ideal for elderly and we had booked this place for later in summer but have cancelled based on our experience. Owners need to look at feedback and seriously look at improving. Overall very disappointing, never again!
