The perfect dog friendly cottage with everything provided, even dog shampoo! Great fully enclosed garden which is important when on a sheep farm. Great welcome pack provided which was fortunate given our Tesco order didn’t show up as scheduled and then they cancelled on us! Nearest big supermarkets are in Carmarthen which was 20-25 mins away. The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Provides the basic condiments, all cleaning sprays, cloths, washing liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. They reallyhave thought of everything. The radiators are very effective so not cold like in some old cottages. We didn’t use the games room as much as we thought we would as although it has a roof over, it is essentially outside and therefore pretty cold in Feb. Did make use of the well equipped gym. Didn’t make use of the cinema room either as the lounge was more spacious and comfortable for our group. The seating in the cinema room is a futon and not comfortable. Instead I used it as a laundry room and put the airer up in it out of the way.In terms of location, although close to a pub in the village, this only serves food on a Sunday and the Baltic Inn is closed. So you have to get in the car to get to anything. A few options in Pontyates which isn’t far. We found some lovely walks around the area using All Trails, but you generally have to drive 20-25 mins to get to these. The beach at Cefyn Sands is glorious, but avoid when windy as otherwise you end up with sand in your eyes! Our kids had a lesson at Pembrey Ski Centre which is such good value compared to the snow domes. Overall a lovely stay and we would return.

We had a great family Christmas together. There was lots to do nearby and the cottage was very clean, cosy and we really appreciated the Christmas decorations and welcome pack. The children loved being on a farm and seeing the animals, they also enjoyed playing pool and darts.
