Guests say

The Corn Store in North Wales & Snowdonia is a charming cottage praised for its cleanliness, peaceful location, and spaciousness. Guests appreciate the property's rustic charm, beautiful views, and the thoughtful touches like provided bread and milk. While some guests mention issues with plumbing and mattresses, the overall sentiment is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The majority of guests found The Corn Store to be clean and tidy, with several reviews specifically mentioning its spotless condition. However, a few guests noted areas that could benefit from deeper cleaning or attention to detail, slightly impacting the overall impression.

The location is highly praised for its tranquility, beautiful scenery, and proximity to local attractions. Guests enjoyed the peaceful setting and the convenience of nearby walks and pubs, contributing to a high score for location.

While many guests found the cottage cosy and the living areas comfortable, there were recurring comments about the need for better mattresses and issues with the showers. The comfort of the beds and the functionality of the showers were the main concerns affecting this score.

Facilities at The Corn Store received mixed reviews. Guests appreciated the well-equipped kitchen and the secure decking area, but several mentioned problems with the showers, lighting, and plumbing. Maintenance responsiveness was good, but the need for updates and repairs impacts this score.

Guests felt well-cared for with thoughtful gestures such as the provision of bread and milk upon arrival. While these gifts were appreciated, it is important to note that such amenities are a bonus and may not be consistently provided for every stay.

On arrival milk, bread and ample loo rolls were provided, everything was spotless, credit to Allison who does a great job on keeping on top of cleaning. Cannot praise enough.

It is peaceful, spacious, had everything we could want, and was spotlessly clean. The views from back, to the hills and a field full of sheep and pheasants, and front, looking up the back lane of Carrog village, are lovely. The decking at the rear made a lovely place to sit in the evenings, when warm enough. We didn't need to use the car once with great walks to Corwen and elsewhere from nearby and a village bus to Llangollen. Would recommend.

There is plenty of room and pretty much all you could want in the kitchen. The TV is basic Sky only, but that was enough for us on an evening. The wifi was only about 1Mbps, but I could get about 10Mbps on my mobile data. The double beds seemed a little small, but we're used to King size at home. The stairs are not really suitable if you have walking difficulties. The showers could do with having a better water flow, but they were adequate. The skylight in one bedroom let in a lot of light, which you want, but woke us up early, so it could do with a sunscreen especially for summer days when dawn is about 4am A floorboard was loose upstairs, we reported this but didn't hear anything back.
