What our customers say about their holidays

  • Helen - Verified booking

    Excellent property.

Far bigger and better than the photos on the website. Beautiful setting, wonderful views and all mod cons. The heating and lamps had been put on when we arrived so along with the fresh flowers we felt warmly greeted. Just a note but the garden is not enclosed for sprightly dogs that can jump low walls. We kept our dog on a lead as there were sheep loose in the garden area every day along with a peacock! This wasn’t a problem and enclosed fencing to the garden would certainly spoil the views and the ambience of the property. We did purchase a baking tray as none in the cottage but otherwise the kitchen was really well equipped . We had a lovely holiday, so peaceful and quiet and would highly recommend. We didn’t want to come home!

Certainly one of the most comfortable character cottages we have stayed in.

A lovely layout in a peaceful and private location. Well equipped and beautifully clean. We felt at home immediately. We enjoyed seeing the farmer come and go having sheep and cattle next door though we were never disturbed by any noise. Conveniently near Blackrock Sands with its super fine sand and shallow shelving beach. Highly recommend a meal at the Caerwylan Hotel restaurant in Criccieth. Owner note - a cloth/sponge in each bathroom to wipe down water after showering would good, especially since water gets on the window sills. My son commented that his bed was uncomfortable in the twin room, door side. Many thanks for being so kind about our mistake with the departure date!

The property where we were staying was lovely and easy to reach.

Also, considering the surrounding roads it was very easy to move all over north Wales without any major issues. An extra point is that around the cottage there are 2 very pleasant hikes, a small farm with rabbits and alpacas, and for both you don't need to use the car. The hot tub had been freshly prepared for us to use. The fridge contained a bottle of prosecco and milk. The couple owning the place were great. They live just across the parking space, and they were always available if we needed anything. Our stay has been just perfect, and we are looking forward to coming back, as for the first time while on holiday I didn't miss my own bed.

I chose this accommodation primarily based on the decor, and the ground floor living for accessibility issues.

Everything else was a bonus. Nefydd's proximity to the beach and local amenities meant we didn't need to drive at all on a number of days, as we could simply enjoy exploring Criccieth and the coastal path. The local shops have excellent produce and are well stocked. The patio terrace, garden and stream was peaceful and relaxing - we were lucky to get some sunshine too! The owner was incredibly helpful and understanding of some of our additional concerns around my Mum shielding (in light of the current climate). The cleanliness was exceptional though, so thank you for all your hard work.

    Had a fabulous holiday.

Nicola and John were so friendly and helpful . They provided lots of nice touches e.g flowers, Prosecco, milk, bara brith (delicious) and beer for my husbands birthday. The cottage was very comfortable and pristine. Lovely reclining chairs to watch tv. The hot tub was fabulous and very welcome after a day out cycling. The location is excellent for walks, cycling and seeing many attractions in north wales and Llyn peninsula. We would definitely recommend this holiday and intend to go back. Missing it already!
