Guests say

Bridge Cottage is a charming and cosy retreat in a stunning riverside location, perfect for walkers and those seeking peace and beautiful scenery. Guests consistently praise its cleanliness, comfort, and well-equipped kitchen, as well as the welcoming atmosphere and proximity to a friendly pub. Thoughtful touches such as a bottle of wine or milk on arrival are appreciated, though not guaranteed. Some mention minor drawbacks like low shower pressure and lack of a secure garden for dogs, but overall, the cottage offers a delightful and restful countryside escape.

Cleanliness is frequently highlighted, with guests describing the cottage as spotless and very well maintained. No significant negative comments were made regarding cleanliness.

The location receives near-universal praise for its beauty, tranquillity, and access to walks, the river, and a welcoming pub. A few mention the steep drive and parking challenges, but these are minor compared to the overwhelmingly positive feedback.

Guests find the cottage cosy, comfortable, and well-appointed, with special mentions of the beds, wood burner, and overall homely feel. Occasional comments about the lack of a secure garden for dogs and low shower pressure are noted but do not detract significantly from overall comfort.

Facilities are generally praised, especially the kitchen and log burner. Some guests mention the slow shower pressure and a desire for better lighting or updated décor, but these are minor issues in an otherwise well-equipped property.

Several guests mention thoughtful touches such as a bottle of wine, milk, and a Christmas tree, which are greatly appreciated. However, these gestures are not guaranteed for every stay.

Wonderful location by the river. Rather steep drive down but worth it as cottage very comfortable with gorgeous craggy scenery to the back and two great pubs in walking distance. We made the most of the log burner and the peace and quiet.

We had a wonderful holiday at Bridge Cottage. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of the cottage we didn't want to leave. The cottage has a waterfall at the back and the river Wye to the front, and is surrounded by spectacular scenery. We really felt we had complete rest and recuperation. I hope to return for another week.
