Ty Bach is a spacious cottage offering a tranquil escape with beautiful grounds and direct access to local walks. It is conveniently located near Newport, with its shops, beaches, and eateries. The property has a rustic charm and is considered good value, though some guests noted it could benefit from modernisation and a deep clean.
The cleanliness of Ty Bach has been brought into question with reports of dirty rugs, cobwebs, and dog hair on furniture. However, not all reviews mention cleanliness issues, suggesting experiences may vary.
The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, beautiful landscapes, and proximity to local attractions in Newport. Direct hikes and coastal walks are easily accessible from the cottage.
Comfort levels are mixed, with some guests finding the cottage relaxing while others reported issues with uncomfortable beds and furniture. The living area is spacious, but the comfort of the beds and sofas has been criticised.
Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and ample space. However, there are reports of a lack of certain kitchen items and maintenance issues such as a problematic shower and rusty fittings.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Located close by to the seaside town of Trefdraeth, which translates as Beach Town. And 5 miles from Newport, boasting two sandy beaches, the Parrog and Newport Sands, separated by the River Nevern. One of the most striking hills in Pembrokeshire is Carningli which translates as Mountain of Angels, with its brooding presence over the town. When sitting on the property grounds you can watch the sun setting over Carningli’s profile against the red sky, making it look rather like the volcano it once was.
Walk from the cottage to the adjoining Coed Tŷ Canol National Nature Reserve featuring gnarled and twisted oaks, rock outcrops, old stone walls and an Iron Age fort. Woodland cover has flowed here since the Ice Age, already old when the Pentre Ifan stone burial chamber was built nearly 5500 years ago. It is one of the richest sites for lichens anywhere in Britain and Ireland. Simply enjoy the grounds around the property, offering many secret gardened areas to be enjoyed.
The property is adjacent to Y Bwthyn. The garden of the main house is the home of The National Holly Collection.

Fantastisches Cottage in absolut herrlicher Landschaft.
