If you are looking for a romantic break away then Mayflower is perfect for this, a beautiful shepherd’s hut with a wood burner, private hot tub and own garden. Relax in the hot tub after a busy day exploring and watch the shooting stars over the dark skies. Mayflower is in St Harmon, a short drive from the market town of Rhayader, ideal for those looking to explore this fabulous area. Gilfach Nature Reserve is within short walking distance from the property and offers moorland, woodland, rivers and waterfalls.
There is plenty to do in this area and a visit to the Elan Valley is a must, as the scenery is just simply stunning, with forested areas, waterfalls and Victorian dams, great for walkers, cyclists and bikers. The Red Kite feeding and rehabilitation centre is not far from the property, and the sheep dogs put on a great show moving the cattle and sheep from the fields before feeding starts. The market town of Rhayader has plenty of restaurants and coffee shops, local amenities and stores.
For those wanting to travel further afield, then the market town of Builth Wells is 16 miles away and home to the Royal Welsh Showground, which hosts multiple events throughout the year. The spa town of Llandrindod Wells is 14 miles from the property and hosts a great golf course and lots of open country parks. The Brecon Beacons National Park is 44 miles for those more adventurous, where a day climbing Pen Y Fan is a must with its panoramic views.

we stayed here for 4 nights. the lodge & hot tub was amazing! beautiful views and plenty of walks/activities around. Not too far from local towns for shops & restaurants. would definitely come back!

Over all very pleasant, however no space to in pack clothes or dry any towels off as we couldn't get the heated towel rail on.

Absolutely beautiful area to stay, The pod was very clean and tidy on arrival. We stayed at the Mayflower the only concern we had was that the garden was not fully enclosed for our dog like the other pods. Greta place to stay and we would stay again. The elan valley is a beautiful area and the local restaurants were great.
