Beautiful cottage in a lovely village. Enclosed garden for the dog, and the cottage had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Good quality furnishings and the kitchen was extremely well equipped. Off street parking was a real bonus ! Being blessed with sunshine every day, we did a lot of walking, Sandringham, Dereham Bog, Wells to Holkham through the pine forest and Holt. Two lovely meals at the local pub, The Ostrich inn. Lovely owners, extremely dog friendly. I met the gardener as I was leaving. The garden is a credit to him. My dog would have happily stayed in the garden all week ! We will be back!

We enjoyed the cottage facilities and excellent underfloor heating to keep us warm. Our only disappointment was the view we were expecting from the cottage, which was the very reason for booking it. The description should be taken down as it is more than misleading. It was not a view from the cottage property window(s) or garden, but out through the front door over to an orchard meadow, and a further 150 yards to see the open country side view as per the site photograph. In theory, I could post a picture of London Bridge, as from the cottage, as long as I took a train and tube ride.

Bring your daughter to the slaughter! 4th visit to the Bodnant Estate, having first stayed at Garth Iwrch 9 years ago. Sadly, will definitely be our last. We booked through Rural Retreats, who make no mention of the fact that the estate is now very much dominated by a âsportâ company, who arrange pheasant shoots. So if you donât like sitting in a cottage whilst all around you is the sound of gunfire, or if you want to walk your dog around the beautiful Welsh countryside in peace, then I would suggest avoiding Garth Iwrch and the Bodnant Estate in general.

Couldn't fault it in any way. Lots to do and see in the area with everything very close by. Walks available from the cottage too in very attractive countryside.
