What our customers say about their holidays
Mr Martin Radford - Verified booking
First of all Powells Cottages have been so easy to work with over our booking, information being sent to us promptly and things have run smoothly. We would definitely use them again. The cottage was just as it is on the website, absolutely stunning, Stuart and Marie have done an amazing job, it was comfortable relaxing and at the end of the day we looked forward to coming home to it. We are walkers so being a few minutes from the coast path was a big plus for us, also same distance from the beach which is a lovely beach, because it was so close we found ourselves going down after returning from day's out. We'll definitely be going back. Saundersfoot is a lovely little place, peaceful but with everything you need. Our host, what a lovely couple, couldn't do enough for you, but discreetly, always there if you need anything but not in your face. We felt we arrived as guests but left a week later as friends. Thank you Stuart and Marie.

We adore Saundersfoot and chose the beautiful "Boathouse" to spend our honeymoon. This delightful immaculate accommodation has stolen a piece of our hearts, we had an amazing week and didn't want to leave. Set in beautiful woodland it's a perfect place to relax, and enjoy. Marie and Stu were so friendly, and really have thought of everything. It was all those little extra touches that made our holiday even more special, cute pumpkin Halloween decorations and a box of games for our little boy, a welcome basket including biscuits teabags and milk (everything you need after travelling), the most amazing waterfall shower, comfortable bed, cuddles from their cats and super cosy blankets to cuddle up in after afternoons exploring the rock pools on the gorgeous nearby beach. We will definitely be returning and have wonderful memories to cherish always -thank you Marie and Stu for an unforgettable holiday x

A clean, cosy and well equipped cottage in a great location for the town, beach and coastal paths.
The public car park to the front of the property was not a problem. Overall we had a nice quiet and comfortable stay butâ¦â¦.. The twin room is accessed by the open tread painted wooden stairs which need to be treated with a good deal of respect! As others have said the settee is comfortable but low and for some people (us) this can be difficult to get up from. The gas fire is mounted on a stone slab (no doubt to meet fire regulations) and is very easy to trip over due to furniture positioning. The listing states parking for three cars â they would have to be very small cars! The access to the cottage is narrow and can be obstructed by car parking for adjacent businesses. Exiting the property onto the main street was difficult at times, again due to cars - parked close to and across the exit alleyway. This was in March so I wonder what the summer would be like?

Lovely central location.
We were not troubled by any noise although next to a car park. You cannot really see the car park due to hedging. Cottage is very light and bright and warm too. Everything we needed to cook etc was there. Beds were comfy with nice quality bedding. Wi-fi worked well. I would say the private parking is more suitable for 2 small cars rather than three. We only had one and therefore the space was more than adequate. Is there were any negatives, it would be the stairs. They would benefit from a anti slip surface. Saundersfoot itself is fairly small but has a good selection of pubs and restaurants. Tenby is close enough to walk to (3 miles) via the road or coast path. There are frequent bus services here and to other locations. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Thanks to Sykes and the cottage owners.

Great property in a lovely location with easy access to the beach. Everything you needed for a great holiday. Comfy bed, decent shower, fluffy towels..perfect! Walking into Saundersfoot is either by road, slightly steep or via the beach. We preferred the latter, and planned our walks around high tide. There was a short part of each day where it wasnt accessible or you had to paddle. Tidetime website provide's an easy and accurate guide to high and low tides. If you are planning to eat out whilst on holiday highly recommend booking, as some places were fully booked two weeks ahead when we were there. Our favourite in Saundersfoot was the Stone Crab, best fish restaurant ever. About 25 mins away is Paternoster Farm, an amazing dining experience.
