What our customers say about their holidays
Mrs Mepham - Verified booking
Great location with everything you could need for your stay within walking distance. Great places to eat locally, the beach is fabulous. We explored the local coastline a lot and our Airedale Terrier - Freddie - loved it! He also loved all the attention he got from everyone everywhere! Cottage is very well equipped and we really appreciated the extra provisions left - and sharp kitchen knives! There was only 2 of us and our dog in this cottage so there was plenty of room - I would say that downstairs would be a tight squeeze for 8 and I would have no idea where you would stored everything. Stairs are also very steep with narrow treads. Dining room is dark with no natural light as it is in the central part of the house. Garden is very steeply sloped. Parking is tricky to get to and the lane is VERY narrow so something to watchout for if you have a large car. Didn't use the garden at all for the dog as the beach was so close. Overall, a fab stay for us in mid October.

Great location with such an imaginative design annd use of space. Overall the interior is falling short in quality for its cost. The bedding and pillows are tired, the non functioning TV in the master bedroom is disappointing. Some of the bedroom furniture is in poor order. One main issue is the perpetual stickiness of the large breakfast bar which made it unusable - we reported this to Powells. It was so severe that magazines and books actually adhered to the surface. A traditional ironing board would be much better than the table top one? It was a shame the outside lights were no longer functioning as shown in the photo. A suggestion would be to provide soap dishes or a shelf in the showers. Overall we enjoyed the property and if the attention to detail from its design was maintained it would be a 10 out of 10

The house was very well kitted out in terms of kitchenware.
It was a good size. The internet was good and there were some DVDs to watch too. It seems to us that the owner has put a lot of effort into making the house as friendly and comfortable as possible. We were a couple with a new baby. While a cot was provided, there was no proper mattress which would have helped greatly for our 5 night stay. WE just had two other minor issues - the stairs were quite squeaky, as was the double bed in the main room. Without a baby this would have been fine, but when we were trying to get to sleep, it sometimes made a lot of noise and disturbed his sleep. Apart from this , we really loved the house and the facilities. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives and we would have no problem returning to the cottage or recommending it to friends...

This property is ideally placed for Saundersfoot, everything is walkable - We had really good weather so were able to get onto all the beaches (Dog friendly by the Marine centre and to the left of the main slipway) the cottage has all of the facilities you would need, it took us a little while to get used to the 5 different colour bins for recycling but we got there. A word of warning if you have a larger vehicle the lane is very very tight you will have to squeeze against hedges to make it to the parking at the property at the bottom of the lane - so if you are planning on lots of day trips you might want to take this into consideration as is not something you would want to do too much - so much so that we caught the bus to Tenby rather than face the single track lane.

This is the second year we have stayed at the property - it is clean, well resourced and very well maintained. We love the history of the property and the decor. The location is outstanding, right in the heart of Saundersfoot and in close proximity to everything we needed (and especially the beach). With young children it made our Iives so easy being so close. The property is very well equipped and really does feel like a home away from home. The kitchen has all equipment needed to cook how much or how little you may like. The beds are very comfortable and having bathrooms in each bedroom is a joy! The parking permit allows parking a short walk away - we’ve not found this an issue at all. We will certainly return in the future if we have the chance. Diolch yn fawr iawn.
