What our customers say about their holidays
Mrs Williams - Verified booking
the bungalow was in a very clean, the bed in the master suite needs to be on solid flooring as it slides everytime you move. the garden was advertised as fully enclosed however this was not the case but the owners could fully enclose it very easily, unfortunatly on the second day we were there, the boiler started leaking fuel fumes into the bungalow, the owners did respond straight away and called in an engineer. he came the next day and changed a seal on the boilder and said this should solve the problem, however it only made things worse. The fumes got so bad it the engineer said he would return the next day with a new heat pump and this would fix the probems. By Day four we had to leave as the whole bungalow was flooded with the fumes. this made it unbareable and hard to breath. i called the letting company to find somewhere else for us to stay which they refused as the owners were trying to fix the problem and they were just the agents for the letting. Our whole holiday had been ruined at this point with myself needing medical attention due to the fumes. We decided as the letting company would not find us somewhere else we were forced to go back home.

Unfortunately there was no hot water all week thankfully the weather was exceptional! Finally after the ground pump was serviced on Friday the penultimate day before we left on the Saturday morning I had a warm shower. No curtesy call from the owners to let us know, luckily the family renting the adjoining property kept us in the loop. The beds were very unconfutable, I could feel every coil. The barn conversion was just as the pictures on the website depicted, very sympathetic to the original building and ultra-modern inside finished to a high standard. The location was secluded just as the map location advocated however you can hear the noise from the campsite across the road when you sit outside enjoying the evening sun which is a perfect sun trap to enjoy the end of the day. The views of the country side and sunset over the sea was impressive. My two dogs enjoyed the enclosed garden and the two public rights of way one 3 mile loop the other nearly 5 miles was just what they needed to stretch their legs. Shame the national trust do not allow dogs from April to October on the beautiful whistling sands at Traeth Porthor Beach which is only a 25 minute walk.

We booked this break for some much needed down time and it turned out to be perfect for just that. The accommodation itself was faultless. Very clean & tidy and had everything you would need and more. The kitchen was probably the best equipped in any of the places we have stayed. The location was perfect for us. A 5 min drive to the little village of Aberdaron where there are a few shops, cafes, pubs and a fish and chip shop/restaurant, along with the beautiful beach. We walked there which took about 35 mins and is a bit hilly but it's a nice walk. The views from the property are stunning and we saw some beautiful sunsets. It was perfect for taking the dog as he could just roam around the garden getting to know the neighbours (the sheep in the next field). If you want a walking holiday there are lots of walks to do here. The owners are very friendly and helpful and were on hand up the road at their farmhouse if we needed them. This property will definitely be on my list of ones to go back to. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We enjoyed our time at Llain Lago. It’s a lovely property, the photos provided are accurate. It was clean and well presented on arrival with a really nice welcome basket. It didn’t spoil our enjoyment but some of the furniture needs repairing or replacing, namely a couple of the dining chairs which have broken pieces on the chair backs and the leather chair on the mezzanine which has a tear in it. The kitchen area is good but in my option not well enough equipped for a property which is so remote as I believe guests are more likely to be cooking most evenings. Bed wasnt the best and pillows were terribly flat. We only had 2 on each king size bed on arrival, there were spare ones but no cases for them, we contacted owner and they brought spare ones.

The location of this property is brilliant. Panoramic views all round. Well equipped, the porch area is a complete sun trap! Good local walks, but, is a two mile walk to the village, only accessible by road. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place, spotlessly clean on arrival, owners easily contactable. But, be warned, the garden is NOT enclosed. You can enclose it, but you’d have to close the entrance gate, (used by another property), and their gate as well. However, don’t let this distract you, had an absolutely perfect holiday here.
