Positives - Comfortable beds - Kitchen has plenty of crockery, cutlery & cooking equipment - Well-stocked library & comfortable sofa in the lounge area - Very quiet and peaceful, particularly at night - Good location for days out and local walks - Friendly but non-intrusive hosts - Noodle, the hosts’ lovely Labrador, always came to say hello as did the sheep in the paddock Negatives - When we arrived both showers were blocked with hair - resolved by the housekeeper the following morning. TV remote in bedroom was very dirty, cobwebs/dust in places and lots of ants and flies by the front door (which is clearly an ongoing issue as there was ant killer and traps around the front door) - The farm lane to The Stables is VERY narrow and the brambles/ferns were overhanging in places which caused scratches to my car N.B. The bed in the main room is tall and may not be suitable for some people.

  Overall we loved our little stay here. A very cosy, comfortable, and warm cottage nestled within Robin hoods bay. We never had any issues with getting cold as the cottage warmed up lovely. Great to be able to have a nice hot bath after a days walk and also a very large smart TV in the living room for those night time film binges! After reading other reviews on different websites, I would disagree with some. This cottage was great for myself and my partner and we would happily return. We could see it has been decorated recently too. Perhaps some touch ups needed but nothing major. A couple of things mentioned to the owner when we first arrived, such as the fridge light not working, however a fast and prompt response was provided and the situation was resolved. Thank you for having us, and as for comfort, location, and value for money - it was excellent in our opinion. We hope to be back! :)

  Beautifully appointed cottage with lots of living space but still maintaining a very cosy feel. Very well equipped .The location was perfect ,meaning you could eat out every night without driving, lots of good shops and bakeries, seafood huts and beach within a few minutes walk. Car parking space at the church works really well. There are lots of lovely walks you can do straight from the cottage. The welcome package had to be seen to be believed so generous including all fresh ingredients for bacon and egg butties. Although just off the High Street it was very quiet (except seagulls 1st thing in morning!!! but to be expected when so close to the sea) The owner was a wonderful host and responded very quickly with the only issue we had - it was sorted by time we got back from a morning walk. Would definitely stay again and have been recommending to family and friend

  A much needed break in a lovely property, we had a delightful few days away, the cottage was so quiet and peaceful it was a delight, we were left to our own devices and loved it. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean we couldn’t fault it, it makes such a .... A much needed break in a lovely property, we had a delightful few days away, the cottage was so quiet and peaceful it was a delight, we were left to our own devices and loved it. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, it was spotlessly clean we couldn’t fault it, it makes such a difference to your stay, well done to the cleaning ladies. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back and stay here, it was a great base for us where we enjoyed lots of lovely walks and some lovely local food.

  Enjoyed a lovely peaceful Christmas break at The Stables. The property is spacious and well finished, perfect for a family of four plus one dog. The location is rural and down a long country lane, but we had no problems accessing it. Nearest pub (Farmers Arms) is a pleasant 40 min walk acro.... The location is rural and down a long country lane, but we had no problems accessing it. Nearest pub (Farmers Arms) is a pleasant 40 min walk across a couple of fields and down a country lane. We all enjoyed the peace and tranquility...it was perfect for our family Christmas break.
