This is a wonderful house for friends who wanted their own room . Very clean and welcoming. Well equipped for 5 of us to eat and drink. We didn’t cook as Sole Bay is at the end of the road. House is in great position for the promenade and the shops. Great cafes. Afternoon tea at the Swan is the best I’ve ever had.We had a relaxing 3 night stay. Would definitely come again.Thank you for the welcome bottle of fizz. It was lovely. One criticism of Southwold is no evident dog poo bins and therefore some irresponsible owners feel it’s ok to leave dog poo on the pavements . We are all dog owners and found this quite shocking.

The positives are a brilliant location, very well equipped kitchen and a nice welcome pack. On entering the whole apartment smelled musty. The decor is tired and lots of cobwebs especially the kitchen ceiling. This was disappointing given the price. The couches in the lounge and very low and uncomfortable. This will be an issue if there are mobility concerns. The bed is the hardest I’ve ever slept in and only a double. We left with sore backs. Overall disappointing and not value for money.

This was a great property for our family holiday. Close to the beach, town, pub and restaurants! It’s well equipped and cosy. We were 8 adults with young children. More adults than this and it would become a bit of a squeeze. We had an issue when a bird became lodged in one of the blocked up fireplaces. But it was dealt with by the maintenance team within a couple of hours of reporting it. We were overall very pleased!

Our second stay in this house. It suited our 3 generation hol well. Despite poor weather we were able to enjoy Southwold as usual, in fact it seemed easier to get tables in several of the pubs. No such thing as the wrong weather, only the wrong clothing! Only extra needed was information on rubbish collection timetable, as website would not give this for no 52 and much easier if a chart was displayed.

We find Tall cottage ideally situated, close to the beach and all other amenities.
