What our customers say about their holidays

This place is amazing - I can’t believe it’s not fully booked the whole year round - although I’m glad it’s not as I’ve already booked it again! The property is so spacious, inside and out. The underfloor heating kept everywhere warm, and the log burner added any extra heat that was needed, as well as just looking beautiful! The kitchen / dinner was beautifully staged for our arrival, with the dinner table all set , which was great as we were eating in the first night. The kitchen is well stocked, with condiments, crockery, pans, mugs, glasses, cling film, foil, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, laundry tablets, washing up liquid, paper towels etc. we’d brought extra bits with us but we didn’t end up using any of the things we’d brought with us (apart from washing up gloves). Everywhere is labelled in the kitchen to help you find things as well. The owners had left a gift package of fresh local apple juice, tea bags, cookies, dog welcome bags, and a kids welcome pack. They’d also stocked the bathrooms with lovely handwash and a toiletries welcome pack. The showers have great pressure and the hot water was endless and very hot throughout our stay. The downstairs en suite was perfect for my elderly parents to have step free access. The upstairs bedrooms and jack & Jill bathroom were so spacious, with great walking wardrobes in both rooms. The owners also accommodated our request for an extra dog, so we had four in the house, but it’s so big that it didn’t feel cramped with all the animals there! The location was perfect to access the north Norfolk coast from. Don’t bother with bringing breakfast with you either as there are two great places to get brunch food from in less than ten minutes! The outside space is also lovely with a pergola sun trap , with plenty of patio furniture. This place is hands down the best place I have stayed at!

Firstly, cannot wait to go back!
Secondly, apologies to owners for early arrival and unloading our cases but we let owner know and owner was gracious about it. What a property?!? Quaint and olde worlde stone cottage. Beautifully decorated and fitted out. Everything you need in the kitchen with quality utensils. Bedrooms with lovely, tasteful decor and comfort. Nice bathroom and modern shower - hubby thrilled with the massage option on his feet lol! Tv has Firestick-style option so can get YouTube and Netflix etc. The situation of the property is spectacular! Overlooking a beautiful 17th century church where we can walk the dogs around and a couple minutes walk to a dog park and lovely walks. Short walk to the town for shopping. I have a bad back so the easy access to amenities was perfect. Loads of cafes, restaurants, butchers, thereâs an Iceland and Co-op, gift and charity shops. At the property as we spent a bit of time in the courtyard garden for a smoke and let the dogs out for a sniff - got to know some of the locals which were lovely. Oh and donât get me started on the Duke William pub two mins away. Get a Sunday lunch there and you will not regret it. All food home cooked, chef and landlord are lovely, and had to take half the beef home which made me and dogs happy for a couple of days lol! Went back in the week for lunch and never had such a yummy mushroom soup! Make sure you are really hungry as portions are generous. Thirdly, which I may have mentioned, I cannot wait to go back :)

Layout perfect.
Sea viewed from car park lovely, sadly the road to access beach eroded away, hence nearest place we found to walk on the beach a 10 min drive away, Withensea. Overall, the cottage could do with some tlc. Shower trays were black round the tray sealant and the ensuite I had, the water wasn't running away due to a collection of hair which made using it off putting. The ensuite sinks could have been bigger as the shelf above them made them awkward to use. The tall lamp in the corner of the lounge was propped up against the wall, so needs replacing. However..., that said...., the owner was very pleasant when I spoke with him, and we had a nice quiet stay. The day i arrived the For Sale Board for the 5 cottages went up, so as the owner is selling, I would conclude financially there would be no financial gain or point in doing any upgrading, hence why I would understand giving the cottage some tlc would no doubt be pointless.

Daisy nook is a lovely cottage set in a quiet area.
The cottage was well laid out with three great ensuite double rooms. There are only a few things that I would say could be improved. A cordless vacuum or similar plus mop. A mirror upstairs. The en-suite bathrooms could do with a shelf for toiletries. The sink upstairs is far too small and awkward as itâs in a corner. Some plastic cups/cutlery/plates wouldnât go amiss for little people. You cannot walk to the sideside from the cottage. Seaside lane now ends to a dead end due to coastal erosion. you will need to drive into withernsea but it is free to park in market street car park near the leisure centre. 10 min drive away. 30 mins to Hornsea and 1hr to Bridlington. There is a slimline dishwasher and ample room in the fridge. The freezer is a bit smaller. We were a party of 4 adults and two children and had plenty of room. Issues were cleared up straight away with a quick email. We would stay again. Thanks

The Old School house is a fantastic place to use as a centre for a holiday in North Norfolk. As a family of 6 celebrating a big birthday we were delighted to be able to spend our weekend there. Every comfort was provided with lovely comfy beds and a fantastic bath being highlights after a tiring day on the beach. The Kitchen was ideal for us all to cook together and everything we needed was provided and more. The coffee machine was a hit, and it was great to have lots of crockery, rather than the '6 of everything' approach we have seen in other holiday homes. The attention to detail and the high tech were great - we loved being able to play music throughout the ground floor, and the enormous TV and speakers were great for a cosy evening of Netflix! Many thanks for our stay.
