  Beautiful spacious house … very clean.

  Nice welcome from Mairi and thank you for the welcome gifts. Very good location for sight seeing around Lewis and Harris. Our only issues were the lack of blinds in the attic bedroom and (we had to be inventive with black bin bags) and the fridge was making a very strange noise and must need attention. I am sure that Mairi will address the two points I have mentioned. score ….9/10. would definitely recommend. LHH Response: We have reported the missing blind issue and the noisy fridge to the owner and she is going to get blinds fitted on the windows at the earliest opportunity. She was unaware of the noisy fridge and will have it seen to shortly. Thankyou for giving the useful feedback and glad you enjoyed yourselves!

  What a find!

  A beautiful well appointed and comfortable property my wife and our friends and I can't recommend it enough. It's an absolutely lovely place to stay. It is like being at home, The owners have thought about every comfort you may need and more. The kitchen, bathrooms utility, sitting room furnishings are all fitted out to a very high standard. With very comfortable beds, modern bathroom, powerful hot shower. Its location means you don't have to travel far to visit North Uist's wonderful beaches and other parts of North and South Uist. Just a perfect location for a peaceful holiday, be it relaxing or active. It's the most perfect house in every way.

  We had a lovely holiday at Achmore Schoolhouse.

  The accommodation was even better than expected and it was a pleasure to return there after our days out exploring. We found it warm and comfortable and appointed to a high standard. It was great to be able to sit at the table and look across to the mountains - an ever changing view with the clouds moving across. The lovely owner greeted us on arrival and left us with some food items which was very kind. We found the location to be ideal for exploring Lewis and Harris as it is centrally placed. This was a bonus as we had underestimated the time it would take to reach and explore some areas. I would definitely book again.

  Park cottage is a beautiful, well-maintained property and was the ideal base for our family holiday.

  The house is furnished to a high standard with a well-equipped, spacious kitchen with a good-sized dining table, comfy sofas in the lounge, and comfortable beds with good quality bed linen and towels in the bedrooms upstairs. Everything was impeccably clean and well-presented and the owner was great at communicating with us on the day we arrived and meeting us at the property to let us in when we got there. The location is truly fantastic with uninterrupted sweeping views across the peatland towards the hills to the North. We were sorry to leave at the end of our stay and will definitely return.

  We loved our stay at 7b- the house was perfect for our needs.

  It was clean and comfortable and perfectly located. It would be even better if the information inside the cottage was updated and the new owner put his personal touches in- it felt a bit abandoned in that regard. A clothes airer would reduce the need to use the tumble dryer too. To help guests feel at home some welcome goodies wouldn’t go amiss- perhaps from the fantastic community shop with a note saying they were from there. We will be back as this has been one of the best holidays we’ve had and 7b was a perfect base. Thank you to the housekeepers for their excellent service.
