Thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Stable Block celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The cottage is comfortable, with everything you could need in a kitchen there. Lying in bed with the french doors open looking out at the view across to the Welsh coast was amazing. Issue with no hot water on first day was attended too quickly, so when we returned that evening all fixed, so didn't really cause us any problems. It was unfortunate that the pub in Porlock Weir and the take away were both closed for food the week we were there, but food in the Hotel was lovely. Well placed to travel to Lynmouth, Minehead and Dunster and the surrounding area as well. Would recommend to friends and family. Porlock itself has some lovely little shops and cafes with plenty of parking available. If you're not used to narrow lanes this area might be a bit of a shock, but you will soon get used to it, slow down, be considerate, you are on holidays after all :) Jo from Wales

We loved the location of the Stable Block as we were able to do a variety of walks from the door - up into Porlock, along the salt marsh to Bossington, up into the woods to Culbone. The sunrise view from the bedroom was glorious and the cottage equipment was excellent. We used the Radio upstairs, the Bluetooth to listen to our own music downstairs and Netflix and Amazon Prime on the TV. We were kindly given access to next door's laundry room/washing machine. We came without a car - by train and bus from Bristol via Taunton and Minehead. The number 10 (Atwest or Ridleys) goes all the way to Porlock Weir. Do try Porlock Bay Oysters just down the hill - unique and delicious. Sit with a cider at the Bottom Ship of an evening and watch the world go by. Look out for boats with colourful sails going by as you can watch them from the pretty garden. Greencombe Gardens near by are gorgeous. Thank you for providing everything we needed for a wonderful stay.

Very disappointing, lovely venue, but not comfortable, the sofa was uncomfortable your bottom disappeared into a hole and immediately hurt your back, could not use, had to sit on dining chairs all week which were so hard and very wobbly, need urgent attention, the duvet was so short on the bed, had to go 3ft down the bed to just get covered, mattress was not comfortable, the net curtains in the bedroom were yellow from staining. The heating could not be overridden so we we were really cold all week, only enough logs for one evening, the shower slider was very loose and the bath was taped because it had a crack the TV in the bed was useless, could not change the volume or channel no matter what you did, all very dated. overall its not about customers comfort. We came home early as we could not stand it a minute longer.

Our stay was just lovely, 6 adults and 1 dog, we stayed 2 nights in between xmas and New year.
The lounge was easily big enough for us all to be together, but being over 3 floors also gave us our own space too. The owner had even put a Christmas tree and some decorations up (which was a nice touch we weren't expecting) The bedrooms were really big, especially the top floor and 2 big bathrooms was a bonus. The lounge over looked the sea and had a nice sized balcony. Directly across the road is a nice walking path along the sea front where we could walk our dog. The large decking area at the back was also really handy for the dog. The house is also literally opposite an opening onto the beach. There's a big Asda approx 3 minutes mins away in the car, as well as restaurants/takeaways and a Wetherspoons, so plenty of places to eat in or bring food back. We visited Porthmadog (30mins in car) and Abersoch (12mins in car) and lots of other places to visit near by or on route. We would definitely recommend Min Y Mor to stay in as the location was perfect, beautiful view, plenty of space and it had more than everything we needed. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The view from the bedroom window over the sea is superb. You can see right across the water to Wales if the weather is clear. The gardens are lovely. The bed is very comfortable and coupled with the views, which can be seen from the bed makes it a lovely experience. The downside is that the vehicular access to the property is 'challenging' to say the least. The lane outside is very narrow and the gates are also narrow. I struggled to get my VW Golf in without hitting something and I know the other guests in the other property (who also had a Golf) had the same issue, so it's not just me. I don't know whether you would be able to get a bigger car in.
