What our customers say about their holidays
Mrs Williams - Verified booking
A fantastic beach side property, you could not be closer to the beach unless you were standing on it! The pic was a little misleading in that it looks as though the balcony is directly on to the sand but it is about 10ft above - we didn't realise there was quite a drop and we had a 2yr old and 4yr old with us so it meant keeping the balcony closed at all times as its not protected. I have also had to feedback about the cleanliness of the apartment. The owners are definitely being let down by the contractors that are cleaning the apartment, as the standard was unacceptable; dirty cupboards, furniture not cleaned down, rugs not hoovered, old hairs (that were not ours!) in places that should have been cleaned, windows caked in bird filth, to name but a few of the issues. I feel that the apartment itself needs a very good refresh, it was old and grubby in many places, but in terms of its location you really are winning. There is a laundry which is brilliant given that most things get sandy! Albeit you have to pay at least £5 per wash. If the owners were to do a refresh on the property and also ensure the cleanliness of the apartment then we would definitely visit again.

6 Mill Wharf is an excellent place to stay for visitors wanting to experience the lovely historic town of Berwick 0n Tweed, to explore the delights of surrounding coast and to visit the attractions around and about Edinburgh.
The apartment is as good as they come; being modern, comfortable well equipped and most importantly well insulated and warm for out of season visitors. The owners have done everything possible to enable guests to enjoy their stay providing excellent welcome treats, OS maps, guides and information booklets; they are easily contactable should you need information or help but otherwise will be unintrusive. Mill Wharf has stunning views of the dock area and across the Tweed to the historic town, harbour and the open sea beyond The apartment is ideally placed for a short walk across the old stone bridge into Berwick centre or along the Tweed to the train station. Local shops and a supermarket are within easy walking distance from the apartment. Safe allocated car parking is within the gated courtyard and has the added bonus of being under cover.

6 Mill Wharf.
What a lovely place to spend your holiday. It had a lovely view out over Berwick Harbour and beyond, we were told that we might see a seal and we did virtually every day it would pop it's head out the water. The apartment had everything you could wish for, I really can't think of anything that was missing from home. Unfortunately Elaine and Alan weren't allowed to meet and greet us, or leave us a complimentary hamper, but they did leave us a lovely bottle of wine and some chocolates. We did get to meet them though, because due to my stupidity, I lost the apartment keys. I had to ring them and ask for replacement keys, all very embarrassing, but quickly resolved by Elaine and Alan driving out to rescue us with a spare set. I can happily recommend this holiday accommodation. Thank you Elaine and Alan. Bob and Carol Hutchison.

This apartment was spot on.
Quality fixtures and fittings and oh so comfortable. Really spoiled for the week enjoying the view of the harbour and working dock, reading a good book, or stretched out on the amazingly comfortable reclining sofa watching a film on the smart tv. Great cooking facilities too. Outside was a treat, too, with a sun bathed Berwick full of so much history. The ramparts and walls are amazing and so easy to get to from the flat by crossing the Old Bridge. Our car was cosseted in its car port in the securely gated courtyard but we spoiled itâs rest by making some trips south to Alnwick and north to St. Abbs. So much more to do in the area and we will certainly return to the idyll of 6 Mill Wharf. Thank you Elaine and Alan for providing such a wonderful apartment which we have no hesitation in recommending.

This rental is all about the location and it really delivers. It has amazing views from the lounge and the bedroom and has a balcony to sit on and watch the waves break on the sand. It is also close to the town centre, has the Norway stores directly opposite, and has parking (more about that in a minute). here is parking underneath the flat but beware if you have a SUV as it is not for the fainthearted. The spaces are between concrete pillars. The guidance recommends a small car with good reason. The parking space adjoins another flat's space which happened to have a very large SUV in it when I arrived. Even though it was parked very close to the wall it was a struggle to fit my small car in (VW Polo), let alone get out. I have stayed at other places along the front and their parking is more practical.
