What our customers say about their holidays

What you see in the pictures of this apartment is 100% in reality, it really is that superb.
The exterior hits you first, a listed building which sits so well in its surroundings. The security of here is very reassuring, fob activated entry to the building before reaching the apartment. We accessed the lift but there are stairs. The entrance and communal stairways are simply decorated and immaculate. On entering there's a box for dirty footwear, brilliant idea, keeps the quality flooring in excellent repair. It is superbly decorated, very modern, very elegant, we were impressed by the window dressings, shutter blinds, when closed the right way do not let the early morning light in. The open plan living/kitchen area we loved, when one is in kitchen we can still interact with each other, there's every piece of cooking equipment/utensils/crockery/cutlery you could possibly need. The huge t.v. comes complete with varied apps and subscriptions already loaded, spoiled for choice when not out exploring. Theres a utility area off the kitchen with a washer and drier, no dirty clothes to take home - awesome! theres a toilet and sink just off there, handy as our bladders seem to be in sync, no race to the loo. The bedroom is very spacious, beautifully furnished, so pleased to see a tasteful clothes rail, a wardrobe would have comprised the aesthetics. Spacious en suite, wonderful shower and an abundance of towels, thank you. On arrival there were a few treats left, including beverages, milk, biscuits and a bottle of prosecco, not expected, received with pleasure. The area itself is amazing, x2 easy distance/accessible stores (coop and spar). Just up the steep lane brings you to main street with the quirky shops and cafes, just round from this the bronte museum. If you cant manage the walk up the lane, there's a bus stop at top and bottom of the lane, the buses take you to varied destinations too, including keighley where you can access further afield places by bus or rail. Plenty of amazing walking routes to wuthering heights/bronte waterfalls etc. Of course how can we forget, its located next to Haworth rail station, on the steam railway route, famed by the railway children movie. We took a ride, loved it. We've been coming to Haworth for many years and stayed in many properties, we have found our favourite, our must have holiday rental and will be back again. The owners Debbie & Ben - great communication, at the end of phone call if you need them, congrats on being 5* hosts, much appreciated.

Over the Arches is an excellent choice for a week (or longer) holiday in âBronte Countryâ at any time of the year.
The apartment is situated in the centre of the lovely village of Howarth just a short stroll to the cobbled main street with its village pubs, shops and cafes; also, the world-famous Parsonage Museum. The apartment is also within easy walking distance to the many moorlands walks in the area; the charming Hope Valley steam railway is just across the road which can provide nostalgic step-back-in time trips to the surrounding villages and the town of Keighley. The museums at two of the stations are excellent. Over the Arches accommodation is outstanding. The apartment is large, modern, spotlessly clean and well equipped: large walk-in shower, all the white goods you could wish for, two big smart TVâs, a smart speaker and much more. The apartment is comfortable and has been delightfully furnished and decorated by the owners who live just a few minutes away and are available to help if needed but otherwise will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. Our visit was in January, we really enjoyed our week at Over the Arches and were sad to leave for home at the end of our stay. You become involved in the Bronte experience as you stroll through the village main street to the Parsonage Museum and become motivated to walk onto the moors in the footsteps of the Bronte sisters. It has to be said that in late January the heights can be wuthering at times but provided you are well wrapped up and with suitable footwear it is surprising how much blue sky and sunshine is around to enjoy at that time of year.

The apartment is just beautiful, spacious, comfortable, warm, quiet, well-equipped, elegantly furnished and decorated â probably the best we have ever had and we have rented a lot!
The bed was very comfortable so we slept well. The shower was nice and maintained a consistent temperature. Great to have 2 large TVs as we often wanted to watch different programmes. It was very useful to have a lift in the building as we tend to take a lot of luggage and other items. The town centre location is very practical and it was nice to be able to watch the steam train passing at the weekend and other locomotives occasionally moving on the weekdays. The allocated parking bay is fairly close and we left the car there the whole week. We travelled on the train on the Saturday and took the Brontë Bus B3 (good value @ £4.50 return) on another day to the charming town of Hebden Bridge. There is a wide choice of places to eat in Haworth and we had excellent lunches at the Haworth Steam Brewery and the Old Sun Inn and a lovely dinner at the Old White Lion Hotel. The former 2 venues were busy and there was a pleasant atmosphere but the latter was deadly quiet (nobody else eating) â expensive wines, however. Ben spent an hour with us on the Friday evening and was very affable and helpful. We didnât meet Debbie but her eMail communication and information were excellent and comprehensive. The weather was poor most of the week but we managed to do some good walks without getting soaked. We enjoyed our week and this was enhanced by the elegance, comfort, warmth and practicality of the apartment. Heartily recommended!

Over the Arch was a New Modern Apartment ideal for two persons.
It was exactly as listed. Parking place for the apartment - car charger available if required. Property was quiet. Co-op and Spar/butchers 3 - 4mins walk away. Nearest eating place was Treehouse - place to eat or just drink, food average, worth a visit as was clean, new and did have a good feel about the place. Main street in Haworth was a 5 min walk up steep road (Safe walk). Plenty of places to eat /drink. Sunday Dinner at the Hawthorn was very good - must book in advance. The Fleece was very good for typical pub food - again you need to book. The Cloth Store restaurant was not to our liking. Indian and Chinese takeaway within 10 min walk. The steam train from Haworth 5 mins walk - we caught the steam train at Haworth and went to Keighley - stopped there for walk round town (not a lot to do) If you are looking for Lunch then Taylors on the Green is the only place - food good - nice decor inside. Haworth is a good base to travel around - Skipton/Knaresborough/Harrogate - if you like walking then Bolton Abbey is good - flat walks, anything from 1 hour to 5 hours, if the weather is good take a picnic and spend the day - book your carpark online, slightly cheaper.

The flat was clean and in a great location.
The bed was comfy and it was quiet at night so I slept well. However: The entrance to the shower cubicle was too narrow as it was too close to the toilet. I had to slide in sideways and slide out sideways. On my first day one of the two windows became faulty and I couldnât close it properly.I reported it to the one listed phone number. There was indeed a problem and it was fixed on the Monday. The communication from the person on the listed number was less than ideal as between Friday and Monday I had no idea when it would be fixed. The flat was a bit stuffy with no views to speak of. The shutter blinds could be opened to let light in via a very flimsy stool once the person on the listed number had informed me how to. There was no dining table so it was just as well I was planning to eat out. The area was very scenic with lots of beautiful places within easy reach by bus and train and I would, will visit the area again. Not the same flat. This would not suit a very large person due to the size of it. I expected it to be larger. I would recommend that itâs suitable for one skinny person or a skinny couple. Donât say I didnât warn you!
