  The flat was clean and in a great location.

  The bed was comfy and it was quiet at night so I slept well. However: The entrance to the shower cubicle was too narrow as it was too close to the toilet. I had to slide in sideways and slide out sideways. On my first day one of the two windows became faulty and I couldn’t close it properly.I reported it to the one listed phone number. There was indeed a problem and it was fixed on the Monday. The communication from the person on the listed number was less than ideal as between Friday and Monday I had no idea when it would be fixed. The flat was a bit stuffy with no views to speak of. The shutter blinds could be opened to let light in via a very flimsy stool once the person on the listed number had informed me how to. There was no dining table so it was just as well I was planning to eat out. The area was very scenic with lots of beautiful places within easy reach by bus and train and I would, will visit the area again. Not the same flat. This would not suit a very large person due to the size of it. I expected it to be larger. I would recommend that it’s suitable for one skinny person or a skinny couple. Don’t say I didn’t warn you!

  This is a very comfortable modern utilitarian apartment.

  Very well equipted. Good cooker and a range of pans for cooking. Comfortable beds with lovely smooth cotton sheets and duvet covers. Very spacious. Only minor problem was the fridge behind the kitchen door. If someone opened the kitchen door whilst the fridge freezer door was open the doors blocked each other. Otherwise the kitchen is excellent. Good washing machine, iron and ironing board and space to air washed clothes. The town house is within easy walking distance of the town centre which has many interesting shops and restaurants. The owner is easy to contact if you have any needs. We had a lovely stay. My husband needed time to relax between his chemotherapy sessions. He has days when he feels tired so this was a wonderful opportunity for him to stay in a relaxing environment that was very clean. On his better days it was easy to access local National Trust Historical sites by car. I would also recommend the Brookes Sri Lankan restaurant. Within walking distance if you want to have a drink.   Belle Vue is a wonderful apartment, 10 minute walk from Ilkley town and the moors.

  Very well presented with quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely welcome gifts from Betty's tearooms for us and treats and ball for the dog. Exceptionally clean, just our style not too frilly or fussy, but homely. Didn't need to bring any extras, very well catered for with coffee, teas, loo rolls, cleaning and washing liquids etc. Comfy beds and powerful showers. Only slight complaint is that the WiFi could be better at peak times. Would happily stay again and would recommend to anyone! Ilkley is a lovely location, didnt move the car once, walked from the flat all week. (P.S. - Parking is free, you just follow the instructions in the apartment to register your car - very easy to do!)

  The apartment was totally brilliant, right up to leaving milk and biscuits for us.

  We think this home owner went the extra mile and we really appreciated it. Our little dog Evie really enjoyed her welcome pack too. Thank you! We didn’t enjoy Syke’s cheeky non-upfront ‘booking fee’ which came as a surprise at check-out meaning they competed unfairly with other cottage companies we were looking at. Because of the circumstances of needing to book somewhere we swallowed the fee to make the booking but basically all of the hidden charges added 25% on top of the baseline booking. £400 ish became £500 ish. Quite a hike. So in summary, we loved the accommodation but not the agent’s practice.

  Everything about Belle Vue apartment was excellent and even better than described on the website.

  Andy was a fantastic host from helping us with a query before we arrived to checking by text during our stay to ensure that all was well. The apartment was spacious and all facilites in excellent order. Very comfortable beds and a very well equipped kitchen ensured a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The location of the Belle Vue was ideal too - a five minute walk into the centre of Ilkley and a 20/25 minute walk up to the magnificent Cow & Calf. We would be happy to recommend the property to family and friends and would make a return visit without hesitation
