  Hello, this is our second stay at this property although we were in a different apartment this time.

  It is the second time I have had to complain about the cleanliness of the place. Your cleaner is really letting you down because the apartments are in a great position and of general good quality. We found the following with regards cleanliness; 1) Faeces marks down the toilet in the en-suite bathroom. Disgusting and clearly had been hidden by the cleaner by putting loo blue in the water. 2) Bathroom towel dirty in main bathroom. 3) Bathmat towel also dirty with brown stains thereon. (Main bathroom again) 4) Mould in grouting in corner of shower. (Main bathroom) A good scrub with bleach will get that off. 5) Food debris in knife and fork drawer in kitchen. The wallpaper around the window in the back bedroom is peeling off due to damp. It just needs addressing as there is mould coming through and this could be bad for any asthma sufferers and children sleeping in the bedroom. This really spoilt our weekend away and as it's the second time, we will not be going back to these apartments again until the cleanliness has been addressed. The apartment is on the ground floor with easy access and parking at the back. It's close to Peasholme Park, the miniature railway and North Bay beach and shops which makes it an ideal location.

  The property owners have gone above and beyond with equipment and furnishings in the apartment.

  Everything was spotlessly clean, automatic lights on when you moved about the apartment, very handy lighting on the stairs. A very generous welcome pack was greatly appreciated, it included milk, tea bags, coffee, biscuits and a bottle of Prosecco, plus a bag of treats for the dog. We met the owners on arrival and they were very informative about the area and very helpful with our one or two questions. Told us to ring anytime with any problems should they occur , a very friendly couple. Parking in the courtyard was a bonus as we were so close to the centre of Whitby, took us about 5 mins to walk into the centre of town and the harbour. Very convenient to be so close to all the amenities. Perfect location if you don’t want to venture far, we only used the car twice in the week to visit elsewhere. Highly recommend this property if you want a hassle free break, lovely and comfortable. The one thing I could say against it is the seagulls, very noisy at this time of the year with their young leaving their nests. But never spoiled it for us, we come from a seaside town ourselves so are used to it.

  Upon arrival, Mr Dutton the owner of Treasure Chest (a very pleasant man) met us in the Car Park at the back of the apartment building and gave us the ins and outs of how the electronic gate worked and the key lock mechanism.

  The three bedroom apartment was everything as advertised and more. Everything that we thought we would need and brought with us was already provided, the welcome pack of goodies was excellent and the instruction booklet regarding every piece of equipment in the apartment was easy to understand. Beds were comfortable and rooms airy with plenty of wardrobe space, en-suite and bathroom are a delight and living room and kitchen areas are superb. We had five adults staying and two dogs and the apartment had plenty of space for everyone. The Apartment is situated in a great location, only a seven minute walk to the train station which is adjacent to the town centre, which obviously for Whitby has plenty of Fish and Chip shops, restaurants and Public Bars. We walked everywhere and did not need the vehicles until vacating the apartment. It has been over forty years since i last went to Whitby, we as a family group had a fantastic time, the weather stayed fine for the week and would highly recommend Treasure Chest to everyone and have already done so.

  Great apartment at Whitehall Landing complex.

  I have stayed in several apartments here and this has been one of the nicest ones. Good facilities and a great speck of furnishings and appliances. Cleanliness was also really good for a holiday let. I would definitely recommend and return for future holidays in Whitby. I did however have a few issues as per below during our 2 week stay. • Vacuum Cleaner didn’t work. Whilst a temporary fix was made in the first few days by the owner it lasted all of 10 mins and keeping the apartment clean became the nemesis of my holiday as I had to replace the drive belt on the machine daily as it was not satisfactory replaced or repaired by the owner. • We were asked on 3 occasions if we wanted the bedding changing after week 1. We said that would be great on all 3 occasions but this did not happen ? • Cafeteria exploded on 2nd day after pouring boiling water in to make coffee. This was reported and promptly replaced by the owner to which we was grateful

  Whitby was a new experience for us, but will definitely be repeated.

  The Majestic was a beautiful apartment, situated in a lovely setting and just a short walk from the centre of Whitby. Everything in the apartment was perfect, lots of thought and care been given to make the stay a memorable one. Fitted out to a very high standard, with the lovely touch of a welcome bag of “Yorkshire “ treats. Much appreciated. I myself have some mobility issues but found this apartment very suitable for me, we found some lovely pubs and interesting places. Loved Cosa Nostra Italian Restaurant and Middle Earth Tavern Pub which is on the road as you walk into the town . Also The Quirky Den was a nice little place to “wet your whistle”. Whitby Abbey was a must to visit, also has a little Brewery up there too. Overall we had a super break, and will definitely be back again to Whitby, and 100% Majestic Apartment. Definitely recommended.
