What our customers say about their holidays

Lovely apartment, clean and warm (we really appreciated the complementary milk and wine). We were there at the start of the Covid-19 outbreak unfortunately when things were starting to get serious, and decided to return home a couple of days early. Parking is good although it can occasionally be a little tight when all the apartments are occupied. This isn't a problem though because the road outside is very wide and not very busy, with ample room to park. The centre of Cromer is about 20 minutes walk away via the roads, or you can take the scenic route up to the lighthouse and along the coastal path - lovely views from near the lighthouse at night when you can see the lights of Cromer and the ships out at sea. You'll need a torch if you're walking up to the lighthouse at night. There's a fish/chips shop and a Chinese takeaway about 5 minutes walk away. Also a small supermarket 10 minutes walk away. In town there's a large Morrisons and a Lidl on the same road. The centre of Cromer also has a filling station. A short drive away are National Trust properties Felbrigg Hall and Blickling Hall with large interesting grounds for walks. Another great place for walking is Sheringham Park and this is really nice. In Sheringham itself you can gain access to the North Norfolk railway. About 3/4 hour's drive south, you may spot the seals lying on the beach at Horsey Gap. Last week, when we were there, we saw literally hundreds of seals on the beach (but it's worth researching to see which months of the year that they're around, before you visit). Finally, Cromer does have a railway station that gives access to Norwich if interested. This was our third or fourth visit to this property, and we'll almost certainly be back. You Tube has some short videos of Cromer and these are really helpful for getting to know the area.

Just wanted to say thank you for the use of your fabulous house! First time in a couple of years we've managed to get the family together for a break away and was lovely to be able to relax and spread out through the property. There is so much space we never felt on top of each other, but there was also great communal space for meals and movie nights. The log cabin outside bar were well used ...mostly by those that had to unfortunately keep in touch with their businesses, which they could do intermittently in peace and quiet. Two-year-old grand daughter and two young pups had a whale of a time in the garden, and at the beach which was a couple of minutes easy walk. Pub also within walking distance, and welcome hot tub on return - couldn't really ask for more! Equipment - wise we couldn't fault it, everything (and I mean everything!) has been thought of - we even cooked corn on the cob one Mexican themed supper - and yes, there was even corn on the cob forks tucked away in a drawer!! Great range of bedroom accommodation, plentiful hot water, showers efficient, plenty of dining space, plenty of seating space. All in all a perfect getaway! Happy to recommend to other branches of the family, and friends - we will definitely be back!

We had a lovely weekend staying at the Lodge from Saturday 5 February to Monday 7 February. The Lodge is beautifully furnished and the owners clearly have a flair for interior design. We were cosy and warm and so comfortable. The Lodge is very well designed and the layout is excellent. It is bright and light and has a great view across the fields. The Lodge is an easy 5 minute walk into Burnham Market and we had fun browsing the gorgeous gift, delis and clothes shops. There are loads of delightful cafes pubs and restaurants to choose from. We had a superb meal at Number 29.The main advantage of the Lodge is it’s location. It’s in the perfect spot to potter around the North Norfolk Coast by car or on foot. We went on an easy circular walk from the Lodge via Nelson’s birth place Burnham Thorpe. The area is teaming with wildlife and it was a joy to spot boxing hares, muntjac deer and red kites on our walk to the Holkham Estate.5 stars from us and we can’t wait to go again and explore more of the area from this perfect base.
