What our customers say about their holidays

Regrettably the double bed would only be a double bed for two stick people or, at least one stick person and a normal sized person.
I had to sleep on one (admittedly comfortable) relaxing chairs. Either way, the bedding was inadequate with the duvet only just reaching over the edges of the mattress and failing to do so when even only (of necessity) one person slept in the bed. It was advertised as an 'accessible' cottage and to a large degree it was, although an able bodied person would need to be on hand to open - let alone unlock and open - the main door. It certainly was accessible. However, I was concerned that the wet room didn't seem to have a very non-slip, non-slip floor and despite the availability of a stool, there was only one grab rail which I felt was inadequate for using the shower. Otherwise, the cottage was well furnished and comfortable and sufficient kitchenware for two people. It was a nightmare trying to get hold of Helen Wilkes but she was very apologetic when she arrived after a bad morning - and we all have those! We were unable to find any information about leaving the cottage and were unable to get hold of Helen to find out where to leave the key on our departure. (It's in the door by the way)

What a great well positioned, well stocked and clean apartment in walking distance of all amenities.
We had 4 glorious days at this lovely apartment. As somebody who struggles when away with the comfort of beds and especially pillows I cannot fault either they were both so comfortable. Had a great nights sleep. However this was marred by the fact that the bedroom window is sealed shut and cannot be opened. It was very windy two of the nights we were there and the wind was howling around the back court yard and even though the window is sealed it didnât stop the draft coming in which made the blind bang against the window so if a light sleeper this may not be so good. Wasnât a lover of the bath and shower bath was very deep and uncomfortable no free shower head. Could do with some extra/bigger towels as the small hand towels are no good for washing long hair. We would recommend buying a parking permit for the car park a 2min walk away as parking on the street is not always possible. With all this said we still had had a great time and wouldnât hesitate in recommending a stay here due to the fantastic location.

We really enjoyed staying in the flat, it was conveniently situated and had an excellent sea view, the kitchen was good and well equipped.
There were however some drawbacks that we would like to mention, and we noticed had already been referred to by other customers. Firstly the towels were totally inadequate, they were very thin and soaked after one use. Moreover, the flat has no facility for drying anything once the radiators are turned off. We had to buy supplementary bath towels during our stay in order to dry ourselves after a shower. The wifi was very slow and kept cutting out-this may be beyond the owner's control of course. The owner had left some DVDs but there was no remote controller for the DVD player and no controls on the player. I texted one of the contact numbers given to ask about the controller and was disappointed to receive absolutely no acknowledgement of my text, let alone any information. Realistically, parking outside the flat is not possible. It would be useful to give more details of the tourist parking permit which is good value

Well what can I say.
It was everything it said on the package. 5 minutes to the shops, beach, bus station, train station.Doctors & Chemist. It is compact & bijou for two adults & one child that is old enough to sleep in a top bunk. Which is a magnificent spectacular man made very safe in deed, that any child would have great fun sleeping on it.The oven works great. The shower you will not want to get out of. With it being on the back of the building you look out on to a small gravelled court yard. I think the big advantage being it is very very quiet & peaceful.Which we preferred. we would definitely recommend this set to any one. Rosalyn,David & Poppy our Toy Poodle.

Here are the pros and cons we found.
Pros: Excellent location; Clean; Well decorated; Well maintained; Good local information provided in the flat; Off street parking. Cons: Mattresses very uncomfortable, thin and giving no support; Very small bathroom; No microwave in kitchen; L-shaped seating area extremely uncomfortable, very high and no good for watching TV; Incorrect address given in email sent by Sykes, told us it was 25 when it is actually 24, resulting in us parking on the next door neighbour's drive! Instructions for retrieving key not very clear, didn't state that each flat had a different keysafe, and that there were numbers almost on the ground corresponding to each flat; Only a tiny mirror, no full length mirror.
