What our customers say about their holidays

Dwyros is a fantastic cottage surrounded by countryside, about a mile from the village and beach.
It is very spacious and there is plenty of storage. The kitchen has loads of cupboard space and work surfaces, with a full sized fridge freezer, washing machine and dishwasher. Everything is modern and clean. Gareth lives next door so is on hand if needed, and he called round once to check everything was okay but otherwise you wouldn't know he was there - it's all very quiet and peaceful with a glorious large back garden and superb views from the bedroom window. An ideal cottage for children (which we didn't have) as there is the large garden to run about in and a playground right next door. The back of the cottage is sunny all day and the front lovely and cool, just right after a hot day walking/paddling - we were very lucky with the weather and had wall to wall sunshine. The only additions to the cottage I would suggest are a coffee table and a coat rack, otherwise everything was perfect. The local Costcutter (I guess you could walk there but we weren't that energetic!) is a real Tardis with delicious pies and pasties, and also ready made meals such as roast beef and yorkshire pudding, lasagne, curry, so you can avoid the hassle of cooking and the expense of eating out. The Llyn Peninsula is really stunning with its mountains, soft golden sands, gently lapping waves and cliff walks. Nefyn beach is gorgeous, with a café right on the beach (felt sorry for the poor girl behind the counter as she was on her own and had to combine taking orders, payment, making sandwiches but stayed cheerful!) We were lucky to get one of the few car parking spaces right next to the beach, otherwise you have to park in one of the residential streets and walk down the very steep hill. Morfa Nefyn beach, which is adjacent to Nefyn beach, has a National Trust car park but we didn't visit that beach. There are not a lot of attractions in the area so I reckon you need the good weather to enjoy this part of Wales. Pwllheli, Criccieth and Aberdaeron are definitely worth a visit, we weren't so keen on Abersoch as it was very hilly and full of traffic, even though it was a weekday out of high season (first week in June). Also no disabled concessions or toilets in the car park, unlike the other towns. We also did a scenic drive up to Dinas, spectacular mountains and sea views, and there's an excellent café by the beach called Waves which was quite reasonably priced - seems difficult these days to get a lunch for under £10 each, but this had a few tasty options. Many thanks to Gareth for providing such comfortable accommodation, we would definitely recommend Dwyros.

I have waited a couple of days to leave this review as I was caught between giving four stars and five.
I plumbed for five! Location of property is awesome and literally 20 meters from your own rocky cove (with sand). The property is as clean as the proverbial whistle and has everything you need for your stay in Trearddur Bay. It's a short walk to the main bay and you are on the coastal path so plenty to explore. A word of warning on finding the property - it is situated behind the owners bungalow - please follow the instructions and you will find it with ease. Ignore the instructions and you will struggle to find (only a fool would do this, right?). The reason for my dalliance was purely down to one thing that I struggled with and that was the shower. As a solid, 6 ft man it was cumbersome (though not impossible) to use the shower as it is impeded slightly by the shape of the roof. That said, I showered twice daily so found it workable, if not comfortable. Would I recommend? Of course! Would I return? Of course! Should you book? Of Course! Finally a shout out to Sue (owner's mother) who let us park up at the property so we could stretch our legs while she was getting it ready for us - what a wonderful woman!

Lovely converted building, well equipped, although if there were 4 people, just one bathroom with toilet might be an issue. We were there at Christmas and it was warm without needing the log burner. Very quiet and dark at night. Very comfy beds. Outdoor welly boot rack, and plenty of hooks inside.... Lovely converted building, well equipped, although if there were 4 people, just one bathroom with toilet might be an issue. We were there at Christmas and it was warm without needing the log burner. Very quiet and dark at night. Very comfy beds. Outdoor welly boot rack, and plenty of hooks inside the kitchen cupboard for outdoor wear. Although no food provided (as they state - to avoid waste) in addition to what is listed, they do provide tea towels, kitchen towels, oven gloves, cling film, foil, dishwasher tabs and liquid, bin liners, dishcloth and brush - helpful to know what not to bring, There is also a Karcher machine to remove the condensation on the windows. TV is freesat only, so we brought our Firestick, which was helpful.

We already fed back regarding extra hooks in the bathroom for long dressing gowns and a grab rail in the shower to avoid slips.
The apartment was modern and well appointed and in a great position for exploring. The car parking was great and everything there we needed. A small bottle of milk would have been appreciated upon arrival. There was plenty of washing up liquid and soap etc but no salt, cooking oil or tea bags so be prepared and bring your own. Village shops expensive as expected. There is a Lidl and Aldi in Wadebridge to get groceries for the week if required. We are two older ladies so the visit to Tintagel Castle on the first day proved exhausting and really too much for us although enjoyable we suffered for the rest of the week with sciatica and aches and pains ... be warned! Local pubs are good but food very expensive so we cooked in the apartment. There are good facilities including a big Wok like pan that was great. We had a week and still didn't explore all the local little shops or even the Arthurian Centre with was only across the road! There is a lot to do round and about and if you are fit and like to walk you will love it. Ideal base for exploring.

The description of the cottage is 100% accurate, everything you need but at a âno frillsâ (perfectly acceptable for us) level and we had a relaxing holiday here.
The location was just what we wanted, there are beautiful walks from the door - the coastal path is about a 20 min walk down quiet lanes & across well signed footpaths and the views and beaches that you come across are stunning (the walk to Ty Coch pub is a must!). There are also pubs & a small shop within walking distance so we enjoyed some car-free days. Gareth replied to questions very promptly (we only had one regarding how to work the Sky box!) The garden could do with some tlc, the one thing I missed was relaxing outdoor seating, as I do love sitting outside. We would definitely return.
