Myself, husband and dog had a such a great week at Fistral Drift.
Loved the communication from Jane & Michelle via email & what's app with all the info we needed to access the property and about the surrounding area etc. We parked in the Council car park 5 minutes walk from the property and Jane paid for our weekly Rover permit which was fantastic, permit can be used across other certain car parks but we didn't use our car the whole stay. Garden was lovely, our dog spent most of his time lazing out there & we enjoyed the views across to Fistral Beach from the bench seat! Location was great for us, 10 minute walk to Fistral Beach & coastal path or 10 minutes in the other direction to shops, pubs etc. They have thought of everything in the property, firstly a fabulous welcome pack on arrival which included tea bags, coffee pods, cider, biscuits, chocolate & even dog treats! Also milk in the fridge for us, hand washes, kitchen really well equipped (stayed in many properties where its pretty basic) and the bathroom is lovely with an amazing shower! Honestly they have literally thought of everything at Fistral Drift & I could go on & on so finally will just say I would recommend it to anyone.

On arrival to the cottage we discovered there was no hot water or heating. After finding and checking the boiler it was showing an alarm code, I reset it by powering off and on again, then it worked fine for the rest of the holiday. I'm surprised that this was not noticed by the house keeper. The heat settings on the programable thermostat were also very random, 26C was set for one strange time period. I managed to reset all the times and temperatures to something more sensible. May I suggest you install a more simpler device that people cannot tamper with. The bathroom was not clean, mildew on the walls and around the seals of the shower did not look very nice. If was not possible to open the window, it was jammed and some fittings were broken. This was also the case in some of the other rooms. Overall we had a great holiday, the location at the lighthouse was amazing. However, for the cost of the holiday I would have expected the cottage to be in a more presentable condition, it certainly needs a refurbishment.

Really well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches, such as a welcome hamper, plenty of hangers and crockery/cutlery. My particular favourite was the light-up make-up mirror. Apartment was a good size, with a super king bed and dual headed shower. Outside space was excellent with outdoor seating, barbeque and a shed with deck chairs. Location good - 5 min walk to Fistral beach and 10 - 15 mins to town centre where there are lots of bars and restaurants to choose from. Communication with Jane, the owner, was faultless with clear instructions on parking and key collection and contact numbers. Also lots of information about the apartment and surrounding area. Would love to stay here again.

Weâve just returned yesterday from a weeks stay and we couldnât fault the place.
The place was perfect and in the best location for beaches in Newquay. On the second day we had a power cut and I text the owner Jane who came down within 10 minutes and sorted it. Thereâs everything you need for a comfortable stay and added bonuses including body boards to use, a bbq for a night in and a great coffee machine for those early mornings. The place was so clean, parking is right around the corner and the little basket of complimentary goodies was lovely! Next time we return to Cornwall we will definitely be booking this place. A hidden gem in Newquay. Couldnât recommend enough.

Comprehensive hamper on arrival, welcome phone call with housekeeper and fresh flowers. Beautifully clean (sofas a little worn) When we had a power cut this was followed up by Rural Retreats. Note that Airbnb list the main bed as super-king size and it is not...... I messaged the housekeeper because the bin rolled across the car park in a storm and scraped our car bumper not heard back yet!
