  A blissful week's Stay at Lovely Lily's Pads Dog Friendly lodge in Okehampton Devon Our week-long stay at Lovely Lily's Pads was an absolute delight!

  From the moment we arrived, John and Sarah made us feel incredibly welcome. Their warm hospitality set the tone for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The accommodation itself was immaculate and well-appointed. The decor was charming, blending modern conveniences with a cozy, rustic feel. It was clear that a lot of thought had been put into making the space comfortable and inviting. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring we had restful nights throughout our stay. One of the standout features of Lovely Lily's Pads is its dog-friendly policy. We brought our furry baby harry along, and he had just as much fun as we did. The property has plenty of space for dogs to run around and explore, with a huge inclose field for him to run freely which was a lovely surprise and making it a hassle-free experience for pet owners. Okehampton itself is a charming town with plenty to offer. We explored the local shops, the castle and Simmons park, was also a nice treat one evening when we ordered fish and chips which was recommended by John. The location of Lovely Lily's Pads was ideal for day trips to nearby attractions, including Dartmoor National Park, which was breathtaking an many more others. John and Sarah were always on hand to offer recommendations and ensure we had everything we needed. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests made a huge difference. In summary, our stay at Lovely Lily's Pads in Okehampton was fantastic. The dog-friendly environment, excellent accommodation, and the hosts' hospitality made it a memorable experience. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming retreat, in the peaceful countryside of Devon especially those traveling with pets.   Forget-me-not Bungalow was absolutely perfect for us and our 2 French bulldogs. The setting was beautiful and quiet. The bungalow provided everything we could have wished for. Having a washing machine was very handy. Next time we won’t take as much clothes as we can just wash them. The lodge in the garden was perfect to sit in and look across to the wetlands, or watch the TV or just listen to the fountain in the pond. The bungalow is within literally just a few minutes car journey to places like Lyme Regis, Seaton, Sidmouth, Beer and The Donkey Santuary and so much more. The bus stop is virtually on the doorstep should you wish to take the bus instead. The owners met us on arrival and gave us a quick tour of the bungalow, showing us what was where and gave us some good advise on places to visit. They also left treats for us and our doggies. We were blessed with the most amazing weather and Devon is beautiful. We will most definitely be booking to come to this lovely bungalow again and highly recommend it.

  Lily’s Pad is a beautiful holiday home set in a stunning location.

  Lily’s Pad felt like home from the moment we arrived and had absolutely everything we needed for a lovely relaxing holiday. The owners were lovely, warm, friendly and very welcoming. They made contact prior to our arrival to pin drop the exact location to help us find the holiday home and also offered to put up a football net for our 10 year old son which he absolutely loved. The owners left some treats to enjoy on arrival and brought us a delicious mid-week treat too. The owners were happy to make suggestions and recommendations for activities in the area and further away as well as places of interest, places to buy provisions and where to eat and drink. There is a beautiful enclosed garden with picnic table to sit at and enjoy the views. We really didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to rebook and visit again next year. Thank you to the owners for sharing their beautiful holiday home with us. It was a truly wonderful place to stay with amazing owners.

  Having spent quite a few years visiting this property, this year has been a little disheartening.

  The property is clean and tidy at eye level, we just felt certain areas were being overlooked. On arrival, we were unpacking fridge items and had to clean it again as there were areas of food remaining. Our pillows in the master bedroom had no pillow protectors on them, and the duvet cover was ripped. The rug also in our bedroom has been there for years and is in need of a clean or replacement. The en-suite shower is in need of new sealant, all just looked a little tired. I spoke with Sykes regarding access to the property as Warfleet road has been closed since the 11/3/24, due to the road collapsing, no one had been told about this problem, so you have to go the long way round to enter the potteries. There has also been a lot of works vehicle near the entrance, so be careful on exiting the car park. I have taken photos if the owner wishes to see them, I’m sure he’d appreciate some honest feedback.

  Forget Me Not Bungalow, adorable, beautiful, clean, tidy home from home holiday let. We stayed 24th/31st August 2024. Sad to leave the place. A very warm welcome from the owners, including our little Yorkie dog Coco. Treats for us, dog and fresh bowl water for her on arrival. Didnt really need to take much, theres plenty utensils, towels and freshly made bed to perfection. Going to definately re book. The garden is blooming and gorgeous, with steps up to Summer house, with settee, tv, radio. Really lovely to sit in day or night. Ideal holiday home, set in a quiet avenue. We had the car, so visited Sidmouth, Weymouth, Lyme Regis. All not too far and so lovely knowing your returning to Forget Me Not. The owners have done a grand job!. Highly recommended. Theres also buses that run to Sidmouth, Lyme Regis. Bus stops just round corner on main road. Dog friendly place, even on buses. Xx
