  This is a fabulous cottage. So cosy and comfortable and extremely well equipped. It has been decorated and furnished with a lot of thought and care. This was a cottage for 2 & near to Bamburgh, which is where we wanted to stay. Your website is one of the best. The 3D property images are fantastic in helping choice and suitability when booking. This cottage has been equipped with everything you could possibly want or need! The welcome basket was very welcome indeed. It had just the right items to provide a breakfast and some treats to start the holiday. Thankyou. We could not fault this cottage & therefore it is hard to say exactly what we liked best! It was tasteful decorated and extremely well furnished which is something we don’t want to compromise on when we go away. The heating worked well so it was always cosy and warm. This is the first time we have booked with Coquet Cottages and we have been very impressed with how we have been looked after from start to finish. From researching our holiday on the website, to receiving our joining instructions and a very nice courtesy call a week beforehand – everything has been clear and concise and very professional.   Little Haven is just that.

  . a little haven. It’s perfectly furnished with everything you could need in a home from home. The bed is so comfortable we had to force ourselves to get up in the mornings. The bedrooms are well furnished, and spacious. The shower is a powerful one which was needed after a day at the beach; so close, only a short drive ( 20 minute walk) away. Now to the garden, delightful to sit out in on warm evenings, or like us early mornings with a coffee and it is a completely safe space for your dog; fenced and gated accordingly. Information regarding the appliances is in a plastic folder should it be needed. All basis covered! There was even a good supply of logs and firefighters (with matches) to start you off. The living room furniture is very comfortable, and the television is a good size (very rare!) not one of those small ones! The icing on the cake for us was the quick response from the owner Caroline, when there was a power cut, who answered the phone after the first ring; and put our minds at rest, keeping us informed for the duration of the power cut. All in all I cannot recommend Little Haven highly enough. We will be back, not only is it easy to get to but if you enjoy watching wildlife it’s the perfect spot.

  What a great cottage this is to stay in.

  It has a lovely cosy feeling about it and the facilities inside are excellent. On arrival we were greeted with a welcome pack which helped set the tone for an excellent week’s stay. The kitchen appears to be fairly new and has everything you could need if you want to eat in. The bathroom is very nice too as are the bedrooms. Outside there is an enclosed, private garden with a grassed area and a patio/seating part too. The front is a shared courtyard. The location is approximately a 5-minute drive from Bamburgh which makes it an excellent location for the beach, the castle, the restaurants and the ‘must try’ ice-cream! If you prefer to go off the beaten track the cottage is situated on one of the back roads so its perfect for exploring some of rural Northumberland and keeping away from the crowds. We would definitely recommend this cottage for all the reasons above but also for the excellent communication from the owner and the fact that she permits dogs to bring their owners to stay too.

  When we arrived we opened the conservatory doors, only to find one of the doors wouldn't close.

  Eventually we managed to close it as the house wouldn't have been secure. I phoned Sykes to report the problem and the owner did respond within an hour. The conservatory was nice as the dining room but the lack of blinds made it like a greenhouse with the beautiful weather we had, so we had to resort to hanging up some covers by fastening them with pegs. A blind at the large landing window would be good as it would give privacy from the nextdoor neighbour. Some bedside lamps would be good, as would a chair in the bedroom. The beds were very comfortable and the house was clean. Unfortunately we didn't bring our dog as planned as he passed away afew weeks ago , but the laminate floor would have been a problem for him. I think this property is new to the market and with a bit more thought to the said above is an ideal place for a stay in seahouses.

  Little Haven was perfectly located and equipped for a lovely stay.

  We felt at home straight away. It was a nice surprise to find a secure garden for our dog to explore safely. It was only a few minutes drive or 20 min walk from to Bamburgh that has great pubs, a butchers and Pantry store. The beach is great for long walks overlooked by the castle. Lord Crewe pub was our favourite and the Potted lobster restaurant for seafood lovers. The copper kettle cafe has delicious cakes ! Seahouses is worth visiting where there are regular boats trips to the Farne islands. Barter Books in Alnwick , Cragside (NT) and Floor’s Castle were lovely trips out. The Barn at Beal and Carnaby’s are both lovely for coffee or lunch. We’ve had a lovely time and will definitely be back
