What our customers say about their holidays

We had a wonderful stay at Penhaven and would highly recommend it as a base.
It's very cosy, well equipped and in a great location- close to the beach, harbour and coast walks, right opposite the village store and a short walk to the always welcoming Paris pub. We were in Coverack with our 2 children for the 90th birthday party of a local family member at the beginning of January and we all loved seeing the colourful Christmas lights along the front, very festive! Things which would have been helpful - a hatchet/small axe for splitting firewood. Some of the logs were too big to be useful. We ended up borrowing one. - instructions for the Sky box, we couldn't work out how to use it! (We had our own devices, so wasn't a problem) - the kitchen table is very wobbly! We tried to stabilise it but couldn't. (also the chairs are extremely heavy - some people might struggle to lift them) - the oven could do with a clean. There was a strong greasy smell when it was turned on (possibly it was used to make a big Christmas dinner the week before?!) Anyway, all minor details - essentially it's a very lovely, comfortable cottage and we really enjoyed our time. Thank you!

This accommodation was warm, comfortable and cosy and while fairly compact (it is a studio apartment as advertised) had everything to hand. It seems crazy to need to mention but we were able to relax instantly at this property because it was a rarity in that everything worked properly. The wifi was good, the TV was tuned in with working DVD player, the cooker was fully functional, the shower pressure was just excellent and very hot and the refrigerator was high quality and very quiet. Pots, pans and dishes were all high quality and clean. The owner did have to come over to fix a leak on Sunday evening, but was happy to do so and very friendly. The area itself is straight out onto beautiful walks with plenty of winter activities also within a 25-35 minute drive and is well situated amongst amenities with several pub/restaurants nearby, but check for opening times as these were not open on our winter break. An excellent base for our holiday. Many thanks to the owners!

I spent a lovely week at Malsters Studio, and it was perfect for my sort of holiday. I was looking for a base from which to explore a stretch of the coastal path, and it was a great place to come back to at the end of long days out. Very cosy and warm with underfloor heating and lovely hot shower, good wifi for planning the next day's walk, and practical design and layout. Parking space on the drive right next to the studio was really convenient. The owners were just next door, and really friendly and helpful, although you definitely still have your privacy. The location was great - it was about an hour's walk into Padstow along the Little Petherick Creek, which forms part of the Saints Way, and you could also easily access the Camel Trail. If you enjoy walking then this is the perfect spot as it offers access not only to the South West coastal path at Padstow, but also the opportunity to explore some of the inland long distance trails as well.

What a stunning apartment, in a gorgeous location!
Everything was perfect. Top marks to Chris, the owner, for amazing attention to detail. Everything you need is provided and the coffee machine and shower deserve special mentions! Just wow! Beautiful Swanpool Lake and beach are on your doorstep and the private, enclosed garden was perfect for Ruby dog. We left the car behind some days and walked the coastal path into Falmouth/Pendennis Point/Maenporth beach amongst other places. The Trellowarren Arms does a fantastic Sunday lunch and we had a gorgeous meal at the Gylly Beach cafe, which we walked to several times from the apartment, along the coast path. So many little bays around the coast, with cafes, bars and toilets in each. We had the best week; the sun shone and the area is just beautiful. We will definitely be back.

The cottage was really lovely, in a great area, really cosy and it felt very homely to us. The terrace, although it only had a slight view of the sea, was lovely to sit at in the morning and was a real sun trap. The bedroom was cosy, and the kitchen was relatively well equipped. The showers were very small, but in such a small place it is the best available option. Unfortunately, despite general cleanliness, there were heaps of dog hairs around the whole cottage, especially in the bedroom. Although this was a slight annoyance to us, it would be far from ideal for somebody with an allergy. The cottage was very close to the harbour, with a maximum 5 minute walk to the furthest pub. Overall, we had a really lovely stay, and we would definitely return.
