What our customers say about their holidays
Katherine - Verified booking
There were a few issues with the property.
The living area and dining area were very comfortable and we enjoyed the river views. The house was very warm. - the stairs are very steep and unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. -There is no welcome pack, not even a pint of milk. -There are no toiletries whatsoever - there are no bedside tables so everything must be put on the floor -there is no dressing table -strange silver mini sofa in bedroom where there could be a dressing table. - extremely poor shower performance - soiled oven gloves - dirty stained sponge in bathroom, presumably to clean the bath? - silicone around shower is stained and tatty - used sponge for washing up in kitchen - no coffee table or side tables - chipped paint on 'silver' painted plastic mirror in bathroom - sticky stain under kitchen bin - dust around bath - mattresses are very hard It generally looked a little tatty and tired and could definitely do with some tidying up and a thorough clean. I don't like saying these things but we were disappointed. the photos on your site show a nest of tables and a fire in the living room but neither of these items exist.

Cottage is a good size for a couple with a dog.
Bed comfy, shower ok, good heating system. Good walks for the dog. Good for stargazing. Pub across road. Various places nearby, Brockhampton, Bromyard, Malvern, Worcester. However... We weren't aware this cottage was on a huge holiday park i.e. the type with loads of static caravans. This was a big, big negative for us. The site also now has my email address and (predictably) is already foisting 'benefits' of holiday home ownership, which I am not happy about. We went on holiday with Sykes not Park Leisure. Outdoor light was faulty, some of the crockery waa filthy, there was no welcome pack (not even a few teabags), no cushions on (hard) sofa/armchairs, Roman blinds covered up half the windows even when fully open, no coat hooks, the main contact number was HQ not the one for the site. We went in the bar opposite one evening and were met with rowdy very drunk people, so didn't go back. Generally, no chance of a return visit at this one. A letdown compared to numerous other Sykes cottages we have stayed in.

Booked last minute for a few days away and was not disappointed.
A beautifully restored barn with rustic charm and modern amenities. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The highlight was being greeted with a homemade chocolate cake that was absolutely to die for! The hosts went above and beyond by walking us through the woods to Brockhampton, adding a unique and personal touch to our stay. The barn itself was exceptionally clean and spotless, which made our experience even more comfortable and enjoyable. The pictures simply donât do this place justiceâitâs even more beautiful in person. The surrounding scenery is breathtaking, and there are lovely walks nearby that offer a perfect escape into nature. I wholeheartedly recommend this charming barn for a fantastic getaway. Itâs the perfect blend of rustic charm, modern comfort, and impeccable cleanliness. Thank you Andrew & Jane we had a lovely break away and will definitely return!

We had a lovely stay, the cottage is very Rustic but that suits the environment.
It was clean. All bed linen clean and fresh. The kitchen was exceptionally well stocked with every utensil you could need. The hist had provided washing up liquid and tea towels. The onky thing I couldn't find was dishwasher detergent but I had taken my own so no problem. There was also detergent for the washing machine. The pool was fun although a lot smaller than it looked in the photos. I had no problem as I am not tall but my husband is tall. The jets allow you to swim against the current which was interesting. The only criticism I had was that it could be warmer for the jacuzzi end. The games room was well stocked and we had a lot of fun trying to playing pool and darts. Overall we had a lovely relaxing weekend. The farm.shop was in walking distance and the town a little further but an enjoyable walk. The town is small but has everything you need. We were concerned about noise from the festival but we didn't hear it at the cottage.
