  The perfect break!

  What a little gem of a property. Myself, my wife and our little dog stayed at The Croft to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary. The house is surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty which made great walks, with a welcome stop at a local pub for lunch. Malvern hills, wye valley and Cotswolds wildlife park and Zoo were just a few of the highlights. The house itself was absolutely outstanding. The level of care when we arrived shone through (from little chocolates by the bed and milk in the fridge to an anniversary card). The owners live next door and are the kindest loveliest people you could ever wish to meet! They do not intrude on your holiday at all. The grounds surrounding the house are quite difficult to put into words - a private forest, pond/lake and wonderful farm animals. Our little dog was really in his element here and we were too! The hot tub was a welcome way to end the day. Highly recommend staying here! It is a great place to unwind. We also purchased some lovely meat from the owners farm which is absolutely delicious.   We enjoyed the cottage and it's location, however we feel that the FRIDAY change over day wasn't properly communicated.

  We booked fairly recently, as the result of having had previous half term plans changed. We definitely entered Saturday to Saturday into the online calendar (in line with my husband's working pattern). It was a shock to be contacted on Friday 1st June, being told that we should have vacated that day! Having to return to the cottage, pack up and leave in a hurry was inconvenient and embarrassing. Admittedly the small print does give Friday (25th ) as the arrival date, but it was FAR from clear. A Friday start date doesn't seem very practical, for most people, unless you are only staying for the weekend, hardly very customer friendly, is it? Please spend less time bombarding us, daily, with advertising e-mails and more time highlighting the pertinent facts. We have already booked another cottage for August, the experience in Malvern has left us feeling anxious and disappointed. Let's hope our next experience is more positive.

  I loved my stay at Woodland Cottage and am hoping to visit again later in the year.

  It is a wonderfully characterful place and the owners, who live next door, have done an excellent job of renovating it and decorating it - it combines comfortable, modern, characterful and quirky. The cosy living room (open fireplace) is on the road side whilst the bedroom has the most incredible views - I could sit and watch them all day. The attached en-suite is to a high standard and you also have the same views from the loo! The basement kitchen is again full of character, has everything you need and is comfortable to have meals in, and they still managed to squeeze in a dishwasher, thank goodness. You can walk up to the Hills straight from the door - very handy - and only 10 minutes up the road to Great Malvern which has a large Waitrose amongst plenty of other shops. You can park in front of Brendan and Lois’ place next door.

  For the first time we found a place that actually was as it said on the tin, but 10 times better !

  !! believe me when we say the owners are very nice down to earth people that have tried their best to give you a relaxing place to really enjoy your holiday, everything you could wish for is to hand, and if by chance you do need more you only have to ask the owners, Sally and Steve, wonderful people, yes it is a working farm, but from where the accommodation is you would never know, you are right by a lake which can be fished, (60MTRS) there are tree lined wooded walks, very good in the heat for our Dog Bella, and very very quiet. I believe we had the hottest week there of this year, my Wife spent most of the time in the Hot Tub, why not !!!!!!! Highly Recommended.

  This is our second visit to the Croft, it was in our view better that the first, but nothing had changed within the Croft, my Wife is over the moon with the Croft the location and especially the Hot Tub!

  ! I feel exactly the same, Sally and Steve are incredibly genuine people, who are prepared to help with anything and everything, and at the same time they never intrude, we were fortunate to be there when the Farmers Market was taking place, highly recommended, little bits of everything. In honesty the pictures do not do the place justice, it really is a very very special place, long walks round the lake and through the woods, ideal if you have a Dog, also a separate field which is closed off so any Dog can run free, will we go back, try and stop us !!!!! If you stock up on food you really do not have to leave the Croft, as it is based for some really nice walks.
