What our customers say about their holidays

A really lovely property, well decorated and thought out.
A well equipped kitchen was good with a bonus for the dishwasher. The comfortable living room was cosy, with smart tv and wood burning stove (plenty of fuel was provided). The bedrooms are good sized with comfortable beds (the mattresses are firm). The bathroom was modern, with great shower water pressure and absolutely spotless. The underfloor heating makes the cottage incredibly warm so donât be afraid to turn those thermostats down. We were never cold! Handy for local towns and villages although a car is needed to get around the area. The village pub was handy, dog friendly and served tasty food. We were left a thoughtful welcome pack full of tasty local goodies and some treats for our dog, and the property was well stocked with items such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets etc. a really nice touch as other cottages weâve stayed in weâve been asked to bring our own supplies. We had a small issue on arrival (we didnât have the key box code) but that was really quickly sorted by Claire and contact with Claire was swift, pleasant and helpful. The downsides for us were noise related. The road outside, whilst a B road, was a lot busier than anticipated and often with heavy noisy lorry traffic; noise from the adjoining property could be heard particularly in the living room; and the local farms had multiple bird scarers sounding. These were issues for our noise sensitive dog, who struggled to settle in the cottage in the evenings because of the unexpected and irregular nature of the noise. This is not a criticism of the cottage itself, just a reflection on our own circumstances and the owners can do nothing about these things which absolutely wonât be an issue for other guests. Corner View is one of the nicest cottages weâve stayed in. And despite the noise issue, we would definitely stay again.

The cottage had everything we needed, including sharp kitchen knives, a first for a holiday rental!
The beds are really comfortable and the shower has really good water pressure. The owners also left a really generous welcome basket containing a bottle of prosecco, biscuits, fresh eggs, locally made bread and dog treats. There was even milk and local bacon in the fridge and good old Yorkshire Tea in the cupboard. Very much appreciated, thank you. I agree with previous comments about the lounge, the sofas are very low and a bit uncomfortable and the room is quite dark, even during the morning, but we spent most of our time in the gorgeous kitchen diner which we enjoyed so much it has inspired us to change our own kitchen! We used the washing machine during our stay but I couldn't find the instruction manual for the tumble dryer so used the extendable drying line in the garden, however this wasn't big enough for the load so had to use the heated towel rail and hang clothes in doorways to dry. It would have been useful to have a collapsible stand alone air dryer. There isn't a shop or pub in the village, but there is a garage within a few miles where you can get bread and milk. There is a small playground behind the village hall and a lake full of ducks to keep little ones amused. We would happily book the cottage again.

What a lovely, peaceful, little pod!
Itâs very modern, up to date, comfortable and cosy. I was fortunate to have the whole place to myself, as the other pod was empty. It had everything I needed (apart from a mirror, positioned somewhere for my hairdryer to reach, to dry my hair). The only issue I had was with the flies. I couldnât have any of the windows or the door open, which detracted from the whole experience. I appreciate itâs not the owners fault, and I wouldnât know what to suggest to be honest. Maybe an electric fly killer/zapper? The only other thing Iâd suggest is getting a small, cordless vacuum. I was only there for 3 nts but felt the need to want to vacuum round in the living area (especially with all the dead flies)! There was a dust pan & brush, but I struggle to bend down. Brilliantly situated for the coast and beaches, with the bonus of being able to retreat from the busy areas to peace and tranquility. The weather wasnât great so I didnât use the hot tub (unfortunately)! As much as it was lovely to have the sun streaming in through the windows, whilst setting, I wanted blinds/curtains. I wouldnât have liked to have experienced that on a really hot day.

Amazing! The property is exactly as described.
It is a pod and so it does have a small kitchen area but what more can you ask with a hob, oven and microwave. There are plenty of utensils, pans and oven trays. There is space in drawers and the pan cupboard to store food if required and a full size fridge and freezer. The main thing for us is cleanliness and everywhere was immaculate. The beds were comfortable, I slept really well. Each of the bedrooms have a TV and a hanging rail with coat hangers. The view was beautiful, across fields and it was lovely to watch the sun set and the sky turn golden. We can see how the property got its name! The grounds are fully enclosed, plenty of parking. The hot tub was perfect. We booked some time ago but then to see some of the reviews I did wonder what to expect. All I can say is our experience was brilliant. Yes, it is a small, compact pod- but you can clearly see from the photographs what it is. The living area was actually bigger than I expected. We would highly recommend and we will be returning.

The property listing was accurate.
The information / updates were clear along with the entry information. The pod was well positioned to grab that "Gem Sunset" across open fields. It was clean and well prepared for our arrival. The pods were enclosed within there own fenced off area with lots of room for our new puppy to run around free and the grass area well maintained. The locals have a regular walk around the open fields which tales about an hour again ideal and perhaps could be highlighted for people. We visited Filey where we had coffee and cake at the Egg and Spoon which l recommend and Scarbrough as well as the the Piebald pub where the food was amazing and even had a pie for the dog! Two minor points? The bathroom off the main bedroom the light goes off rather quickly and the heating kept saying the date was incorrect and wouldn't allow us to adjust the temperature on occasions. It was a great break
