What our customers say about their holidays
Paula - Verified booking
The property itself was lovely, well thought out , decorated, very clean and well equipped however we should have been informed of the building work taking place in the main house which went on the whole time we were there, starting at 8am.
It was not the best welcome, arriving onto a building site with the sound of banging and an angle grinder, not exactly the peaceful retreat we were hoping for, especially as we left our own renovations for some peace and quiet. Sitting outside was limited due to the noise. Unfortunately due to the temperature of the property too (glass box) we had to have doors & windows open too so couldnât avoid the noise that way either, unfortunately the air conditioning was not sufficient in the front room. The footpath down to the property needs to be looked at too as the newly laid sandy surface washes onto the deck and steps and enters the property which makes for additional cleaning. There are a few issues with drainage in the en-suite too, we chose to not use this shower in the end and only use the main bathroom. Hot tub needs to be cleaned and maintained during weekly stays too. There is also a slight issue with privacy as the other rental is close and plants are not established yet so with two glass boxes, you can see clearly into both properties and across to both hot tubs. Blinds would be nice on one side and would help with the sun & temperature too. Given the issues above I feel we paid too much for our stay this time and were disappointed but made the most of the beautiful local surroundings as much as possible. That being said once the issues are addressed and building work is completed this will be a gem of a place to stay and we would definitely want to return. Thank you

Lovely property (ie building) with good facilities eg underfloor heating, hot tub, washer etc spoilt by poor quality, cheap plates and cutlery and bath mats etc.
The property was ridiculously hot and we really struggled to cool it down. The cleaning was not up to standard there was no attention to detail eg there were lots of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling, there was a thick layer of dust on the hairdryer box, the bin was left dirty and the kettle needs descaling, The drive to the property was in poor condition and we scraped out car as we entered the property due to the parking of workmen working on the house there. The bin system consisted of a bin and 4 different bags and we received a lecture from one of the workmen who was not happy about how we had place things in the bags The steps and path down to the property were step and full of leaves and not well lit at night our daughter fell down and hurt her hip definitely not suitable for anyone with walking difficulties The hot tub was overfilled and was hot on arrival which is unusual because usually the water has been changed and the hot tubs are not up to temperature The property is within easy walking distance to Tenby. Overall we were disappointed We were going to take our dogs but actually we didn't when we changed the booking to include the dogs the click of one button and one email was sent we were charged £30 by sykes for doing that but it did not say anywhere before we made the change we would be charged for this I wont be booking with sykes again

I would not recommend anyone stays at the ground floor flat. The outside is filthy and cannot be used as there is dirt, feathers, plastic bottle tops etc matted into the plastic astroturf. There is also a large black area under an external pipe. The iron is unsafe as part of the cable has been wrapped in sellotape which resulted in an electrical incident which blew several sockets in the flat as a result of a nasty electrical discharge which could have resulted in being electrocuted. The owner did not see fit to apologise for the incident and became very rude when I asked for a discount to acknowledge the incident. Three places in the flat are marked with paint. The lino in the bathroom is marked in several places with white spots. The downstairs area is so dark the electric lights need to be switched on even on a bright sunny day. Its akin to staying in a basement. There is not additional blankets if its cold at night and, the duvet is exceptionally thin. Overall the flat is of a poor standard and does not represent value for money. It is also potentially unsafe due to a lack of maintenance of an electrical appliance.

Very well equipped ground floor flat (a few steps up from the pavement). The property is just a small and very quiet road across from the beach, with steps down to reach miles of golden sandy beaches. There are three islands directly opposite/near the flat - one is Caldey Island -- you can visit the monastery there and look round the island by boat from Tenby. Stunning views. You can park on The Paragon, which is the quiet road the flat is on. The road is mostly used by people going to the beach. The flat has secondary glazing, so you don't hear much of what's going on outside. Comfortable extra large double bed in a very spacious bedroom. Also a twin room, which has less room, but which was fine. Small balcony outside the twin room. The area is stunning and Tenby is a busy little place, with a good variety of shops (Tesco Extra, Sainsburys, WH Smith, Boots and lots of independent shops). Short walk to the shops - maybe 3 minutes. Recommend this comfortable, spacious flat, which was immaculately clean. Thanks for a great holiday.

A very clean, comfy, holiday let.
Only a couple of minor niggles, - 1) There is just a single induction hob ( makes mealtimes a bit of a brain-teaser ), - 2) No room to hang clothes (in spite of the clever rail in the bedroom), so you are living out of your suitcase for your stay. Both are due to the last of space I understand. You've no doubt had other adverse comments about the "posh" taps, which won't allow you to get hot water without splashing everything in the area. So you are constantly mopping-up and drying off worktops etc. The last niggle is the (very comfy) bed. I rolled out a number of times, due to the edges of the mattress having lost any support now. We tried changing sides but no different. The middle of the bed is higher than the sides, which is exaggerated when you get into bed. I'm sorry if it sounds like I'm having a "go", I'm not. We enjoyed our stay, - it's a really cosy place to come back to, in a great location. I would be happy to stay there again, 100%. ( You are welcome to edit my feedback if you want to publish part of it !)
