What our customers say about their holidays

All we can say is WOW.
We are just leaving Ballinorig Lodge after a 5 night stay over Christmas. The lodge is beautiful, made even more stunning with thoughtful decorations, a log fire, cosy blankets and warm decor. The hosts A big thank you to David and Carol. Their place is simply perfect. They have literally thought of everything. On arrival, we had hot chocolates, a box of tea/coffee/sugar etc, a log fire that had already been started and David on hand to show us around. Despite it being Christmas, David offered to drive us into town if we needed, as well as come over and start the fire if we were to struggle. Amenities Hot tub - clean, spacious, and simply glorious to relax in. Bits and bobs draw - any little thing you might need, youâll find here. Forgot your rain coat? Donât worry, thereâs waterproof ponchos in the draw. Need a nail file? Check the draw. Just an excellent idea. The fire hut - plates, bbq equipment, cups, pillows, cushions. Was absolutely perfect to cosy up and have breakfast in. Location Secluded enough to feel completely cut off from the chaos of the world, but close enough to shops, pubs and beautiful beaches if you wish to visit them. We highly recommend this place. Weâre leaving feeling relaxed, rested and ready to face the new year. We will definitely be back! Thank you.

Our stay at canis was for a weekend and we had a brilliant time.
The lodge is perfect for a relaxing weekend away based on its facilities. However, this is not to say that it was a perfect weekend away. Me and my partner were very let down by the cleanliness and maintenance of the hot tub at canis. We understood that there were maybe a few difficulties with the hot tub, but when we reported our issues, a woman who claimed to be one of the owners of the cabins came over on the Sunday morning. We felt that she was extremely rude to us, who not only said that it wasn't the company's fault for the hot tub maintenance, but also partly blamed me and my partner, despite us following all of the guidance and rules regarding the hot tub at canis. We were extremely let down and disappointed as we feel her rudeness was definitely not warranted as we were only raising a concern. Despite this, one of the other hot tub maintenance workers visited on our last day on Monday morning. Our experience with him was far superior as he fully explained the hot tubs issues and was overall very friendly. However, although we were let down by the hot tub, it did not take away from the great weekend we had at canis.

Beautiful stylish chalet.
We had a wonderful holiday. The bedrooms are small like in a caravan but this is what we expected from a chalet. I didnât realise until further into our stay that the bedside lamp was a touch lamp. The outside decking had a furniture to relax on. Bonus was Netflix on the TV. Also WI-FI was included. Close to amenities and there is a bus stop just outside the park. During our stay we walked to the observatory at Chapel Point along the sea front. We also ventured in the opposite direction and walked to Ingoldmells. Nearest supermarkets are in Skegness just a short drive away but there is a small shop at the entrance to the park. There is also a fish and chip shop at the entrance as well as a cafe. We loved the chalet and had a great holiday. Would definitely recommend the chalet to family and friends as it was clean and had everything we needed for a great holiday.

All in all this is a lovely place to stay.
It was comfortable and in a great location. The double bed was very comfortable. The site is relatively quiet despite its close proximity to a main road. Generally the lodge was clean although the cups, glasses and crockery needed a dishwasher clean before use as they werenât up to standard and handles and surfaces were sticky and needed a further clean. Our check in was 40 minutes late as when we arrived the cleaners were still there and we were told that the last guests had âleft it in a right mess!â which left us feeling a little apprehensive. The lodge does need mirrors in the bedrooms as thereâs nowhere really to see to dry your hair and use straighteners other than the microwave glass. Despite the small issues would we stay here again? Yes!

We enjoyed our week at Primrose Lodge.
It was clean and fairly comfortable. Shower was amazing and we enjoyed the hot tub when it was hot, it would have been nice to have more info about it as a couple of the evenings it was just warm. It would have been nice to have leaflets/ information regarding the local area ie places to visit/ walks etc. also bus timetables and places you could get to. The kitchen could do with more dishes/ cutlery so you don't have to put the dishwasher on every day. Also, the picture of the welcome pack on the website shows more than what you get. We ate at the The Royal Hotel in Runswick Bay twice which we would highly recommend, also the Cod and Lobster in Staithes, excellent pie. All in all we had a lovely week.
