  We had a lovely holiday (apart from the weather) The apartment had all the mod cons but they were quite technical even with the hand books they were difficult to work out but google helped.

  it was lovely to have a washing machine the only two things I would like to have seen was a wall clock in the living area and a decent dustpan and brush both inexpensive. Also maybe some leaflets of things to see and do. It was a lovely touch to have milk and biscuits and other bits left for us and cleaning stuff although we did bring our own. The apartment was bright and airy the balcony was a nice extra. The apartment is very central to all the amenities train bus beach amusement arcade fair rides food outlets. It’s a really lovely walk along the sea wall to Dawlish about 40 mins waving to the many trains that pass ! We loved seeing the black swans and other birds in the stream.we used the trains a few times to visit teignmouth Torquay and Paignton we went to the zoo when you get off the train you need a 22 bus to take you to the zoo. the only real problem we had was the parking we couldn’t have our allocated space so was told to park in another space then had an irate lady leave a note and came to find us to complain we still couldn’t have our space so had to use another wrong one

  We enjoyed our stay.

  The views are not extraordinary but access to the town centre and sea-front is good. Comfort is Ok (we were able to visit my daughter's house to sit in comfortable settees with higher backs), the bed was very comfortable and food prep facilities good. As for Wifi, we happened upon one of the two apparently available connections which was working well. The TV had two identical remotes which may be of benefit to TV devotees - or maybe not. Refuse and recycling don't seem to be taken seriously here. The wall notice in the appartment asked us to take food, paper/plastics etc, and refuse to their respective bins in the parking area or maybe outside (??), but we could only find a very poorly managed bin for recycling of sorts in the basement, but nothing for refuse or food - which we left tidily bagged in the apartment on leaving.

  This is a fantstic holiday home, Tina the owner went to great lengths to make it as clean and safe as possible and thought of everything.

  Gorgeous view and a great area for watersports and relaxing on the beach, lovely to walk along the front or get a boat trip just a stone throw away. Flat itself is beautifully presented but fairly compact for a family of four. Parking is a bit tricky as the Edge Watersports shop below like to spread out their equipment and often need to be asked if they can move their van, paddleboards, kayaks etc so you can park but they were ever so friendly and helpful and are moving to bigger premises next summer. The cafe below is fab for breakfasts and the staff are really friendly. Highly recommend hiring kayaks and paddleboards from Edge Watersports as we all really enjoyed it as well as a bit of sea fishing!

  The flat itself was of a high standard.

  Within easy walking distance of shops, restaurant's, sea front and buses. Important as we choose not to bring our car on holiday. A combination of bus trips and Stuart line cruises allowed us to explore the Exe as far as Topsham and along the coastal resorts as far as Seaton quite easily. The only reason I have not given a five star rating is the pub nearby on Friday and Saturday had loud music until midnight the effect of which could be substantially reduce by closing the bedroom window had it not been so hot. The answer may be to provide good quality fan(s). Apart from that thank you for a very enjoyable weeks stay.

  We stayed for over 3 weeks and probably tested all.

  Because we were unable to return the key to the key safe, we lost the opportunity for a free weekly turnover clean and new linen. All of our issues were respected and resolved, where possible. In the kitchen department, there was sufficient faculties to perform once, before a rewash was required. There was some evidence that, the facilities were aging and some failing. The basis of hire is that, only the rooms are included and all faculties are complementary, only. Given this, we have booked for 6 weeks in 2025. Our friends also want to join us in 2025.
