  Our stay at Rosemary Cottage was amazing.

  Location was close to the two village pubs in beadnell and a short walk across the field to the beach. The property is well equipped for everything you need for a long stay. Amazing open plan kitchen/dinner and living space. A lovely room to cook and entertain. The modernisation of the bungalow has made Rosemary Cottage a lovely well throughout property to stay in. The 3 double bedrooms are all good sizes with one having an en-suite and a main large family bathroom with walk in shower and huge bath. The additional living room is great for the kids to play in or watch tv and is a lovely snug with a log burner for winter. The gardens are beautiful and you can tell that it is much loved property by the owners. Ed was supper attentive and ensured that we had everything we needed. Some lovely touches in the welcome pack and it all added to our amazing stay. The major wow factor is the amazing views from the back of the house. Looking out over the Northumberland countryside and the beautiful horses in the field close to the property. We would definitely recommend this property it is the best we have stayed in in Beadnell.   Just stunning.

  Our expectations were already high from previous reviews and seeing the photos of the cottage. They were definitely surpassed and we had a wonderful stay. We very much appreciated the attentive and considerate contact from the owners before we arrived and the fabulous welcome gifts to greet our arrival. Rosemary Cottage is fantastic and is fully equipped for every need. There wasn’t a single thing we needed that the cottage didn’t have underlining the considerable care made. Seriously comfy beds, beautifully furnished, relaxing and inspiring garden and the added bonus of horses in the field. Perfect mindfulness. Beadnell is lovely and the cottage location is quiet yet perfectly positioned for the local amenities and great walk down to the beach. We would love to return but will have a dog shortly so we’ll need to find a cottage to reach the superb benchmark that Rosemary sets. A wonderful stay and a Big thank you to Ed and Amanda.

  Rosemary Cottage is one of the best self-catering places we have ever stayed in.

  The kitchen and living area was very spacious and comfortable and everything that we could need was provided. We also really appreciated the separate sitting room, this was very nice and comfortable, and as a group of six this gave us an extra option for relaxation. The location was perfect, on a quiet road with horses in the fields behind, yet just a short walk from the village with its pubs and cafe. We also appreciated the owner's welcome package, which included wine, chocolate and home-made biscuits. Just some very minor points for considertion: there was no shaver point in the ensuite bathroom , I didn't check if there was one in the main bathroom as I didn't need it, I had charged my shaver before arriving; a shelf in the showers to put shampoo etc. on would have been nice; the very large teapot was appreciated but a tea cosy would have been handy - we improvised with a tea towel!

  There are points which should be addressed as they spoilt the expected high standard of the accommodation.

  On entry noticeable floor not vacuumed thoroughly. Kitchen bin broken and when moved floor was covered in breakfast cereal. Vacuum was full and when used kept cutting out. When vacuum emptied still only worked for a few minutes then overheated and cut out. We eventually managed to clean the floors. Twin room - The shower had a solid door which opened inwards not allowing an adult above uk size 6 in. Bed side lights one bulb was out the other flickered. Double room ( Sea Breeze) - Shower temperature gauge could not be adjusted. Shower screen leaked on floor. Toilet seat not secure. Master bathroom - Toilet seat not secure. Kitchen - No instruction information for cooker, hob, dishwasher or washer drier. Information package was YEARS out of date. A suggestion would be to have two bins in the house one for recycle.

  Rosemary cottage was a perfect place for our family, with the two kids and us in the two rooms on one side and a lovely en-suite room for my parents on the other.

  It was a great family space with a kitchen,diner, living space that was great for spending time with each other and a separate living room for some quiet time. We have spent a lot of holidays in this part of Northimberland and location wise its great. Only 25 mins from Alnwick and the supermarkets, and amenities but also a good travelling distance north and south to places like Bamburgh, Lindisfarne, Craster and Amble. Beadnell itself has a good beach a 5 minute walk away and a good pub, cafes and small shop. But Seahouses is just 5 mins by car to a larger Co-op. Outside the house there is loads of parking on the drive for 2 cars or 3 small ones and some friendly horses in the field behind the house. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and the cottage layout and facilities were great. Would thourougly reccomend.
