  We stayed during February half term & found masses to keep us busy – although locals mentioned it was out of season. Really? We’d love to return to see what we didn’t manage to get to! Particular highlights: beach walks (in the sunshine!) & beachcombing; relaxing after our walk in a cosy pub with friendly locals; wondering Tenby's streets discovering a plethora of superb quality local produce – the butcher, the Baker & the candlestick maker (in the form of the fantastic hardware shop), the market amongst others. Trips to St Davids & Pembroke Castle were memorable. Solva Woollen Mill’s working loom was a delight – I spotted their gorgeous bedspreads at Chart House! The Pembrokeshire Coast Path was stunning – especially the section from Barafundle Bay to St Govans & then towards Freshwater West. Returning to a roaring fire & rustic soup with gorgeous bread from the bakery was 7th heaven. Although just the 3 of us, the generous accommodation completely moulded to all our needs – our son was super impressed with the games room & took up residence in the snug lounge. We luxuriated in the 1st floor sitting room – such an inviting & tranquil space: total relaxation guaranteed! Something for everyone & all boxes ticked re entertainment choices. All the little touches are so welcoming – the basket with fantastic local produce, beautiful attention to interior detail, divine room fragrance. WHAT A SPECIAL HOME! A real sense of calm washed over us within minutes of arriving. We can't thank you enough for such a wonderfully relaxing week – I feel about 10 years younger!

  I booked this cottage having stayed in another cottage on the complex before.

  After booking and paying in full two weeks before our trip, I read the reviews to discover that the third bedroom has a toddler bunk bed. This was described in the small print, but I missed it. I contacted Sykes straight away to try to change the cottage. After several days of trying to get a response they told me via WhatsApp that I wouldn't be able to change the accommodation or get a refund. They were not interested. I then contacted the owner/caretaker number to discuss how they would be able to accommodate us. We had five adults in our group, and the property only has four suitable beds. Nobody bothered to contact me. We were stuck. My 18yr old had to sleep squashed into the toddler bunk, which dominated the very small room. She felt like she was sleeping in a cupboard. Upon arrival, there wasn't any welcome pack. There were dead ants all over the conservatory floor and on the dinning table. There was lots of long strands of head hair in the double bed (which was also the most uncomfortable bed we have ever slept in) There were crumbs on the kitchen work surface. The extractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. The tv was described as a smart tv, we couldn't get any clear reception. I am very disappointed with Sykes who you can't get hold of, it seems that as soon as they have your money they don't care. The people they use to clean the cottage don't know what cleaning is. The only positive is that the pool and grounds were well kept and a bonus. I will not be returning or be using Sykes or any of there partners again.

  The details published on the sykes website are misleading.

  We were not advised that the pool had to be booked in advance in 1 hour time slots. The gym and sauna were unavailable, having looked in the gym it contained two exercise machines and a few light free weights. The property had beds to sleep 6 people however, the bunk beds in the third room are tiny, I would almost say toddler size (this was not as pictured) and to stay it was a squeeze is an understatement, the bed literally fills the room and we could just squeeze around the door. This would be ok for a young family but not teenagers. Sykes and the owner did try to resolve the issue but the suggestion that boy and girl teenagers should share a room was not acceptable to us. A sofa bed which is not advertised was the solution but not what we would have chosen if we had of known in advance as this took up the whole of the living space. The sofas are not as pictured and were also very small. The property was not comfortable for us as a family of two adults two teenagers, a child and a dog. The property was very clean and tidy and the site and facilities were exceptionally clean. It is perfectly positioned to explore the beautiful coastline. We left the property early as we all needed some sleep given the cramped conditions. It was a shame and disappointing as the area and site were lovely. More clarity is required in your advert.

  Berlin house was a lovely house in Tenby.

  The facilities in the property were excellent. The location was great too. However this was advertised as a family holiday let and unfortunately it is not suited to families with small children or indeed anyone who likes a peaceful nights sleep. Being in town I had expected there to be noise from the street and noise in the evening from public houses. What I didn’t expect was a full on nightclub experience whilst in the property. On 2 nights during the stay music was being played from 11pm until 2 am and it was so loud that there was no way of getting to sleep or if you were asleep when it started it soon woke you up. The only saving grace is that the children’s room was not effected as much as the rest of the house. We left a day early as I couldn’t cope with another night of the noise. It was unusual not to be able to control the temperature in the house and you had to message the owner to get it adjusted, being October it was quite cold and the lounge was generally quite cool. I also thought it was unacceptable to expect holiday makers to take their general waste home with them, we travelled 150 miles and when packing had to find room for waste. Lovely well kept property just not suitable for families.
