  This charming cottage in Menai Bridge offers a delightful base for exploring Anglesey.

  The property itself has a lot of character, However, it unfortunately requires a significant amount of cleaning before it can be fully enjoyed. Location, Location, Location: Menai Bridge is a lovely town with easy access to the island's stunning coastline and attractions. The cottage is well-placed for exploring the area. The property retains many original features, giving it a unique and cozy atmosphere. log fire , fantastic views With some TLC, this could be a truly wonderful holiday home. Deep Cleaning: This is the most pressing issue. The cottage was not adequately clean upon arrival. cobwebs on all ceilings , what looked like dog urine stains on all carpets a think layer of dust everywhere in fact on arrival we noticed someone had written dirty in the dust on the main tv , all the pans and grill still had the grease after being used we ended up washing everything before using it but drew the line a getting the polish out. The shower toilet upstairs was full of mould and the shower tray had not been cleaned for some time thick with dirt. This significantly impacted our enjoyment of the property. Maintenance: While the property has character, some minor maintenance issues The main potential issue for the owners id the ceiling in the main bedroom was damp/wet with mould on the walls Thorough Cleaning: The most crucial step is a deep clean of the entire property. Minor Maintenance: Address the minor maintenance issues to improve the overall condition. Consider Professional Cleaning: If renting the property out, consider hiring a professional cleaning service to ensure a consistently high standard for guests. if you already have one replace them fast Despite the cleanliness issues, the cottage in Menai Bridge has a lot of potential. With the necessary attention to cleaning and minor maintenance, it could be a truly wonderful place to stay. However, in its current condition, it falls short of expectations.

  Beautiful cottage with wonderful views.

  Very comfortable with all the equipment you need. Bbq was a bit small considering the size of the cottage. We paid for the hot tub but it was not working. Spoke with the owner and he said that he had been having an issue with sourcing parts since covid. But assured me it would be working in a couple of hours unfortunately It didn’t rectify itself. So if you’ve booked for the hot tub which we did in this cottage just be warned before you do book as it doesn’t appear this will be rectified anytime soon. We received a refund though. Beds very comfortable and attention to detail was made as in feather duvets and pillows and cotton sheets. The property could do with a couple of dummies guides for cookers, heating and tv. To trawl through the manuals for these items was a bit of a faff. All in all though a wonderful cottage with gorgeous garden and lots of wildlife fluttering about.

  We had a brilliant time at this amazing cottage.

  We were looking for a peaceful and relaxing break away from the stresses of every day life and this cottage provided that in abundance. The house itself is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. We especially liked the rainfall shower downstairs and the seaside theme of decoration. The views from the garden and upstairs windows were fantastic. We had coffee (courtesy of the Dolce Gusto machine and pods supplied) and Welsh cakes on the patio every day and just enjoyed the quietness and the views, whilst watching the passing boats. We had planned to do quite a bit of sight seeing whilst on Anglesey, but in the end hardly went anywhere because we enjoyed the cottage and Penmon Point so much. The owners left a really lovely welcome pack which included the aforementioned Welsh cakes and lots of other treats which we really enjoyed. We will definitely be booking to stay here again next year.

  Thought the accommodation was in a good location with a lovely view but the bathrooms were old and very dated.

  On arrival, I was also disappointed to find that the house was missing a few basic essentials including dishcloths and toilet rolls etc. which I would have expected to be in the house. After contacting the owner to let him know, the owner didn’t respond to my message which meant that I had to purchase some of the missing items before the shops shut. The next day he rang me and offered to reimburse me (I had a receipt) and brought a few more missing items I had mentioned but unfortunately after our stay, he refused to answer any further messages and did not refund any money despite having my bank account details that he had requested. I have since spoken to Sykes who have made the refund on his behalf so therefore, would not recommend Mor Glas for a holiday as this property is not cheap, didn’t live up to my expectations and found it upsetting that the owner didn’t keep to his word.

  The property was very nice and well stocked with all the equipment you need, unfortunately the hottub that we had paid 150 pounds extra for was not working.

  We had not been informed about this nor had sykes cottages. Has this was the main reason we booked the cottages we were very upset. After 3 phone calls and no promises, we were left without a hottub. Happily it was fixed for Monday evening.and we got the whole 150 refunded. Other issues were dog poo all over the garden which my young daughter stood in. And we also had a arranged 2 hour visit Monday morning from a gas engineer, a hottub engineer Monday afternoon, and then a roofers for 2 hours on Wednesday which we had no knowledge of until they arrived, I understand that these things have to be done but surely any work that needed doing should be done during the 8 hour change over window on Saturday not during someone's holiday. We have been promised a 100 pound refund for our inconvenience. Overall the holiday was very good and we really enjoyed ourselves.
