What our customers say about their holidays

  • Jean - Verified booking

I filled in an on line form as soon as I arrived.

I also rang the owner. The description on your website is incorrect. If it had been a correct description of the layout I would not have booked it. It says on the ground floor there’s a downstairs bedroom leading to the living room which leads to the kitchen, and there’s three bedrooms on the first floor. So I booked it because I’m disabled and use a wheelchair so everything was on the ground floor for me. But it wasn’t. The kitchen was upstairs so totally ruined Christmas for us as I only went upstairs when two people carried me which was unsafe. One of the elderly couples decided they couldn’t come when I told them about the layout of the property because they originally assumed they’d only have to go upstairs at bedtime. So the cost had to be divided between two parties instead of three, which we wouldn’t have paid if we’d known about it. Your website also states fuel provided so we didn’t take wood, it wasn’t provided so Christmas Eve had to go looking for wood. Contacted the owner who said he would have to contact Sykes about fuel being provided. Also said to him, as it’s Christmas we thought there’d be a Christmas tree up, his reply was I live in Chester, I’m useless (referring to himself). There wasn’t even a piece of tinsel. The downstairs wet room leaked onto the bedroom floor, and we couldn’t turn the heating off so had to go round turning radiators on and off.

A really lovely Easter break with our family. Helen made us feel very welcome chatting to her down by her horses. Very spacious cottage for our family of 8 adults 2 children, a baby and our dog. Very clean. Esspecially enjoyed a coffee in the conservatory in the sun in the mornings while watching the guineafowls chasing each other around the huge garden. Living area had a nice big difference dining table which fitted us all around and nice big couches. The log burner was lovely and plenty of logs provided. Both bathrooms very clean, plenty of towels for us all and nice hot showers and a bath up stairs for the children. Spacious bedrooms with plenty of wardrobe and draw space in each hand room. The surroundings were beautiful and very well maintained, my daughter particularly enjoyed walking down to the horses and feeding them apples. We had a lovely walk from the cottage ok Easter Sunday about 30 minutes through the woods, along the fields and down to llanbedrog beach. Helen was lovely and happy to help with anything we asked. We would definatekt return. The cottage is in an ideal location about 10 minutes from abersoch and 5 minute drive from llanbedrog with a lovely beach beach bar and a few nice pubs. Thank you for a lovely stay, we didn't want to leave

Property was lovely, spotlessly clean and lightly decorated for Christmas.

The most important showpiece of this property is the huge glass door in the living room/kitchen. You can spend hours just watching the bay. First day in and we had the delight to watch a red kite immediately outside the front! The appliances are high quality and the included washing up liquid/soap was a nice touch. So often cottages just leave one dishwasher tablet or a tiny amount of soap meaning you have to run to the shops. Three very minor points for us: - It took us 15 minutes to open the front door on arrival. The lock is very stiff and the trick is to pull the door and turn the key. Probably due to the prevailing wind battering the front of the property in inclement weather. Yes, I did panic when I couldn't get in as it was the 23rd December. - The main glass door in the living room wouldn't close properly. Consequently it was a little drafty upstairs in the gale force winds we had. I think the door lock bar needs re-seating. - Better information about the bins would be good. We were unclear what could be recycled and where it should be placed and if we were meant to put the bins out on a certain day. Hopefully we did it right.

In an excellent position right in the centre of Nefyn.

Groceries, a wonderful community pub, a takeaway and a hotel where you can have Sunday Lunch or watch the football are all right on your doorstep and Pwllheli is only a 10 minute drive away (you can also get multiple buses) if you want bigger shops. Parking outside the property was not as problematic as we thought it might be (even in August!) but there is plenty of on-street and free public car parking available anyway. The wonderful beach is a 5 minute walk away (steep hill but some parking if you need it) and the beach hut is fantastic! House and beach hut is well equipped - we were a party of 7 adults, 2 babies under 2 and 2 dogs and there was more than enough of everything we would need and plenty of space. Jerome is a fantastic host and answered our texts very quickly when we managed to accidentally switch off the electrics! We loved it here - everyone is really friendly (visit the Maritime museum, its only a 2 minute walk away and the people who volunteer there are lovely!) and you couldnt be in a better place to explore the LlÅ·n Peninsula!!

Nice newly refurbished property in the heart of Nefyn.

Nice bedrooms and really nice bathrooms, plenty of space for all 9 of us (7adults and 2 children). A few unfinished aspects to the property when we were there (top floor) but I'm sure it'll be complete for the next renters. The owner was good with communications and always made sure that any questions were answered promptly. Just a personal preference we just wished there was a little bit of space in the kitchen to put food etc in cupboards, but we say that about all rental properties as all the cupboards are generally full of utensils, pans etc. We ended up keeping dry food in our own storage boxes on the floor, but out of the way. We struggled with parking, however this was mainly due to the eisteddford being held on the same week, 3 miles away. We have been to Nefyn many times and have never seen it so busy before so it's definitely because of this exceptional festival. Loved the outside area and the raised patio at the rear of the property.
