  We stayed at Beren for a long weekend in November 2015 and fell in love with it - we already have a return visit planned later this year! The house is warm and welcoming with a lovely kitchen/diner and 3 good bedrooms. All the furnishings and equipment were to a very high standard and it was spotlessly clean when we arrived - the kids immediately logged on to the Wifi internet while we relaxed in the hot tub! We were also delighted to find that the house not only welcomed dogs and had a fully enclosed private garden, but the owners had also provided thoughtful 'doggy' extras such as rugs and food bowls. The cottage is located right in the centre of Croyde village and has the benefit of off-road parking (not often the case with village period properties as we've found in the past). It is also a stone's throw from a good local pub serving excellent food. A short, scenic walk takes you to Croyde Bay where dogs are allowed on the beach during the off-peak season. We particularly recommend the cliff top walk to Woolacombe with sweeping sea views across Croyde Bay.

  Absolutely beautiful house in a really good location. The house and gardens are maintained well and the hot tub is hot! Also very clean. The house was very well equipped with everything you could need. Plenty of space for our party of 10 and very accessible as we had a mixture of ages and mobility needs, the downstairs bedrooms and shower room were perfect. Croyde is a beautiful village and only a short walk away with a pub 5mins walk and the beach 15-20 mins walk, the location is perfect, lovely, peaceful and very private. Would highly recommend this property.

  Your service was very good. Good and clear communication. Only given you a 4 for 'likely to return' since I really don't know at this stage. It is highly probable. The reasons for the 4 under property are linked. There is an ariel photo of Croyde attached to the details for Hectors House which we assumed were photos of the actual property. It even says Hectors House above the photo. However it is a general picture, and Hectors House isn't even in it. That was a bit disappointing, but was made up for bu the excellence of the propery itself.

  Lovely cottage

  Lovely cottage and extremely well equipped. Children’s room makes you wish you were a kid again. Very comfortable and clean . Location great for exploring fantastic beaches nearby. Hot tub also a welcome feature. No proper garden but rest of the house and area more than compensate for it. Useful outhouse with shower and wc and washing machine and tumble dryer.
