Lovely cottage tucked away in a quiet location, we really enjoyed the peace and quiet.
Whilst the cottage was well equipped, for 4 people, the living area was rather cramped, it would be fine with young kids. Disappointed with the courtyard access having no internal entrance, meant we had to block the front entrance with chairs just to get some air and stop the dog escaping. Whilst the single beds were fine, the master bed was creaky and saggy, my husband resorted to sleeping on the sofa the first few nights. We seem to have mouskitoes every night, a plug in repellent would've been good, we could only find candles which we never purchased. I should point out the cleanliness wasn't great, dirty floors, bread crumbs in the kitchen, musty bedsheets in both rooms, and blonde hair in and on the bedlinen, not great. On the whole, a lovely property. The welcome pack was a lovely touch.

Very unhappy with my stay.
Very dirty when we arrived even though we had to wait ages to go in because of the âcleaningâ going on. No hand wash!? Tiny towels that you couldnât even cover yourself with. Room was very hot and had no fan. Walls so thin you could hear everything next door and when I complained about the cleanliness of the place the owner was not interested and would not compensate me for this. I wouldnât stay here again and wouldnât recommend it to anyone

A nice cottage with all the amenities you could want on holiday.
It was generally clean so long as you didn't look under or behind anything where it was very dusty. Our main issue was the double bed which creaked every time we moved. We resorted to putting the mattress on the floor, but even then the mattress seems a bit saggy so it wasn't the most comfortable. The beds in the twin room were very comfortable. If these couple of issues could be resolved I would recommend on every other front.

We had a lovely stay at The Coach House in August.
The location is ideal for exploring the west of the island. The kitchen was well equipped and the twin room was perfect for young children. We'd agree that the double bed in the main bedroom was very creaky, so it's good that the owners have been looking into getting a new one. The work that is done to look after rescue horses in the stables next door is amazing.

Very very nice place to stay and the hosts were perfect, the coach house is superb.
One problem we had was Sykescottages somehow managed to double book for our first night. The host kindly found a place for us to stay and were very apologetic. A bottle of wine, cheese, bread, butter,2 packets of very nice biscuits weâre waiting for us when we arrived and they paid for the night and we received a refund for the night missed in the coach house.
