A stone's throw from Kielder you will find Kielder Water, the largest man-made lake in Northern Europe. This impressive body of water has plenty of water sports opportunities including canoeing and water skiing. The surrounding area is also ideal for mountain biking, with a wealth of off-road tracks to enjoy. Possibly one of the best things to do at Kielder is stargazing. The skies here are the darkest in England, and it's the biggest designated Dark Sky Park in Europe; so on a clear night you will be able to see a wonderful amount of stars.
