      This is our first visit to Northumberland and we enjoyed every minute of it! The cottage is lovely and very well equipped and we actually relaxed! The neighbors are friendly and helpful. The beach at Bamburgh is lovely and the dog loved it too – liked The Copper Kettle for lunch. Would highly recommend: Lollo Rosso in Morpeth – the lasagna was one of the nicest i’ve had! If you go, go between 5-6 it is happy hour. We went on Tuesday evening and by 6 it was really busy so best to book. Loved Warkworth – very pretty. Thanks for the lovely welcome pack – a very much appreciated special touch. Hopefully we’ll be back again.

      Heron House is lovely! Immaculate, comfortable, and welcoming. We stayed here last year and really liked it. The size of the house is great and well located. My mum is elderly and so is our dog which is why the location is great as it’s not far to walk into the village and there are no hills. The welcome basket included all the basics which meant we did not have to do any shopping as we ate out every night which was great! On this occasion, the Christmas decorations were our favourite thing about Heron House. It was a real treat to arrive and see a beautiful Christmas tree in the window. We loved it!

      We had a delightful stay at Heron House! We were looking for a large comfortable house as a base to accommodate several people for our daughters wedding which was at Widdrington. Having bread, milk, eggs, jam, coffee and tea meant we did not have to immediately find a shop after a long journey. The flowers were a very nice touch too and were still going strong a week later! The position next to the river and views of the castle were great! The garden was lovely and the décor was nice! I could go on and on! The house was so very well equipped so it felt like a home, not a rental.

      A fabulously comfortable and quiet cottage. There was birdsong all day and quite literally hopping hares in the field outside which were my personal highlights! We loved the coastline, the villages, the boat trip to see the puffins and seals on the Farne Islands. Holy Island was a special place as we’d hoped. Special mention to the charming National Trust volunteers at Cragside and Lindisfarne Castle – what a well told story. Hope all future guests have an equally relaxing and fun time. Thank you for the wonderful, well-thought out and generous welcome hamper.

      Heron House was immaculate and did not fall short of our expectations. The welcome pack was fabulous and got us off to a great start to our family New Year’s holiday. The area is stunning with lots of fantastic beaches and historic castles. Warkworth is very pretty with some nice shops and places to eat. The garden was great, the beds were extremely comfortable with good quality pillows and duvets and the downstairs rooms were very spacious. We could not fault anything, and we will definitely return, thanks again Coquet Cottages for a top class service!
