We enjoyed the bottle of wine and the biscuits provided. It was so useful to get 4 pints of milk. The bread was very useful too. There was a good supply of tea. We all enjoyed the coffee bags, which we had not had before! We were very impressed by the hamper and it was a really nice welcome, which made everything very easy as we were only staying for a few days. The dog loved her dog treats and the bowls and towel were very useful. The brand new, modern bathrooms, kitchen and décor. The showers and bath were lovely. The bedrooms were a good size and there was nice bed linen. The sitting room also worked well. We really enjoyed our stay. It is a great house in a great location. We loved Warkworth. For us it was good to be just 15 mins from the beach and 2 mins from the river for kayaking and walking distance to the shops and pubs. The house is comfortable, nicely decorated, good bathrooms and easy for a short holiday break.

We are frequent visitors to Warkworth and the North East, and all of our family were within walking distance of one another. Our grandchildren loves calling at their cousin’s holiday homes.Victoria cottage provided us all with comfort and living space for grandparents, parents and children. It is our best holiday home yet in terms of provision, decoration and attention to detail. I loved the art work.Our first holiday home in the North East was a touring caravan placed in a field in Alnmouth. Happy days! (37 years ago). So we have kept returning and building family memories evert since. Now we even have a private sand dune on the beach.The people of the North East are a particularly welcoming and warm people. This is very much the case at Warkworth Golf Club where visitors are most welcome. Of course we shall be returning after another memorable week.Thank you for allowing us to stay in Victoria Cottage.

So, where else to go in the middle of a pandemic for holidays? A staycation in Northumberland of course! We have had a truly lovely and memorable holiday here with the best weather of the year so far. For a sun worshipper, I was not expecting to go home with a tan from the North East but the forecast exceeded all our expectations. I have seen more castles in a week than 20 years in Essex! We love it here, suffice to say I have been on Rightmove several times this week but sadly, nothing for sale in Warkworth. We have just got back from a smashing last meal at The Masons Arms where we all tucked into fabulous food. The Rushes… is not a home from home as its far lovelier than our old, draughty home! The taste is exquisite, love the art on the walls and objects of art. Super family holiday – thank you so much for making us feel welcome in your beautiful home, with best wishes and keep safe!

Didn’t bring a dog but brought 4 children instead. Really liked Victoria Cottage, the location and the village of Warkworth. Have been coming to Northumberland as a man and boy for over 50 years and never tire of this beautiful corner of the globe. Revisited my favourite beach, Embleton and took a train to Edinburgh to explore the ‘Athens of the North”, it was only an hour on the train from Alnmouth station, just 5 minutes from the cottage. The cottage is splendidly equipped and beautifully warm, loved the bright airy kitchen and roomy bathroom. A real winner. Thanks for the recommendation from our friends. Will need to bring a dog next time I think.

This is a very lovely house, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Warkworth is a great base to explore Northumberland from. I could not fault the house, as everything we needed had been thought of, including the most fabulous weather! We really liked the biscuits which were provided! Good to pop in your rucksack! This is my fourth time it stay in a Coquet Cottages property. They have all been of a very high standard in lovely locations. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I am confident that if I had any issues at the property they would do everything they could to resolve them as quickly as possible.
