This was our third visit to Warkworth, our second stay in a Coquet Cottage and our first stay in Honeybee Cottage! We were delighted with our choice. We had fallen in love with Northumberland and Warkworth in particular. There is so much to offer in this amazing county and we find more every time. The cottage is charming and so well appointed. We have made full use of its facilities as we like to eat out but the kitchen/lounge is lovely during the day, and the front room is cosy by night. It’s so peaceful in this area of the village. We paid a delightful visit to Howick Hall and Gardens and had lovely meals at The Warkworth House Hotel, Jaspers in Amble and Mumbai Indian’s in Alnwick. Thank you Honeybee Cottage!

Thank you for a lovely stay at Honeybee Cottage. We have stayed in many of the Coquet Cottages, but this is by far the best! A real home from home, it is delightful, peaceful, and comfortable. Warkworth is our favourite holiday destination. The weather has been very nice, we cannot complain. We have had a wonderful Easter break. Thank you for the welcome hamper for us, our dogs, and for the fresh flowers, which were lovely too. We have travelled up and down the Northumberland coast as we do, have walked the beaches and eaten at Bertram’s. It has been wonderful, thank you to everyone at Coquet Cottages for everything you do. This is our first visit to Northumberland and we enjoyed every minute of it! The cottage is lovely and very well equipped and we actually relaxed! The neighbors are friendly and helpful. The beach at Bamburgh is lovely and the dog loved it too – liked The Copper Kettle for lunch. Would highly recommend: Lollo Rosso in Morpeth – the lasagna was one of the nicest i’ve had! If you go, go between 5-6 it is happy hour. We went on Tuesday evening and by 6 it was really busy so best to book. Loved Warkworth – very pretty. Thanks for the lovely welcome pack – a very much appreciated special touch. Hopefully we’ll be back again.

A fabulous stay in a wonderful cottage in a wonderful village. Honeybee is a charming cottage with lots of home comforts. It’s beautifully decorated and in such a fabulous location. This was our first visit to Warkworth and we will be back. We have had great walks around the village, river, down to Amble and Warkworth beach. We also took the walk from Warkworth to Alnmouth. Then had a drive to Craster and Embleton Bay. We visited The Masons Arms, Castle Brew House & The Hermitage, they were all lovely, welcoming places. Thank you for accommodating us for an additional night, its been wonderful!

A fabulously comfortable and quiet cottage. There was birdsong all day and quite literally hopping hares in the field outside which were my personal highlights! We loved the coastline, the villages, the boat trip to see the puffins and seals on the Farne Islands. Holy Island was a special place as we’d hoped. Special mention to the charming National Trust volunteers at Cragside and Lindisfarne Castle – what a well told story. Hope all future guests have an equally relaxing and fun time.
